Comedy short films and musdic videos that contain comedic material.

Purpose of San Antonio Laughs Comedy Film Festival is to celebrate the power and artistry of comedy in film.

To provide a chance to see works from the world's best emerging comedy filmmakers as well as classic comedy films - and maybe even kick start the careers of deserving local and international stars of the-day-after-tomorrow

To provide programs that encourage appreciation, understanding and enjoyment of the comedy film

To provide a forum for comedy filmmaking including professional development and an industry marketplace.

Films completed on or after September 1, 2014
All entries must be either in English or subtitled in English. Dialogue lists are not accepted.
Entrant confirms and warrants required legal authority to submit the entry into the Festival and to use all music, images, and content in the entry.

B) Submission Guidelines

Films must be submitted on DVD or Blu-ray disc, or as an online screener.

Only complete entries (including fee payment and DVD/Blu-ray, or online screener) will be considered.

Entrants are permitted to submit works-in-progress (i.e., without final color correction or sound mixing), but please note that the programming committee will only consider the version submitted. Subsequent cuts or replacement copies will only be accepted at the request of the programming committee.
To qualify for student entry fee rates, entrant must include proof of student status at the time of production (e.g., copy of student ID, transcript, etc.)

The following exhibition formats are eligible for Festival screening: 35mm, DCP, and HDCAM.

All shorts will be 5 or 10 minutes long with credits music videos must have some comedy content maximum is 5 minutes with credits.
