La Sección Western (Premio Sección Western/ Premio Forastero)sigue siendo una sección paralela del Certamen de cine Corto de Salas de los Infantes.

La idea de esta sección es homenajear al western y dar a conocer las nuevas tendencias de un género que a día de hoy sigue vivo y de actualidad.

Cash Prizes: 550€

Best Western Short Film Award (€300 + trophy) for the work that best meets the American Film Institute's definition of a Western: “a genre of films set in the American West (19th and early 20th centuries) that embody the spirit, struggle, and fall of the New Frontier. Rich in subtext and mythology, it offers iconic images of a bygone era, and possibly of a time that never happened.”

Outsider Award (€250 + trophy) for the work that, while not exactly what the American Film Institute defined as a Western, explores the genre in a novel and/or groundbreaking way, reinventing its conventions.

1.Podrán participar realizadores de todo el mundo y cada concursante podrá presentar tantos trabajos como desee.

2.Serán admitidas a concurso todas las obras cuya fecha de realización sea posterior al 1 de enero de 2022. No se admitirán obras presentadas en la anterior edición.

3.El tema será EL WESTERN.

4.Serán admitidas obras de ficción (imagen real o animación).

5.La organización en ningún caso se hará responsable frente a posibles acciones legales que puedan emprender aquellas personas o entidades que se sientan ofendidas o perjudicadas por el contenido de las películas.

6.Los trabajos deberán presentarse online. Los trabajos deben ser en idioma castellano (español) o en caso de presentarse en versión original, deberán estar subtitulados en castellano (español).

La duración de cada trabajo no podrá excederlos 30 minutos, incluidos los créditos.
