The Muses Studio is accepting short films for an evening celebrating horror, comedy, dark humor, parody and everything wonderfully strange in between.

Selected films will screen for a live Nashville audience as part of a special night featuring independent films, live comedy commentary, filmmaker moments, audience voting and awards.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Comedy Horror • Horror Comedy • Horror/Thriller • Dark Comedy • Camp & Parody • Experimental • Micro Shorts

Maximum runtime: 15 minutes
Preferred runtime: 2–10 minutes

Independent filmmakers and emerging creators are encouraged to submit.

SUBMISSION FEE

Early Submission — $10
Regular Submission — $15

By submitting, I represent that I am authorized to submit the film and that I own or control the rights necessary for its submission and festival exhibition.

If selected, I grant The Muses Studio permission to publicly exhibit the submitted film at the 2026 Comedy Horror Film Festival on October 23, 2026.

I understand that submission does not guarantee selection, screening, an award, distribution, or any other opportunity.

I understand that The Muses Studio may use the film’s title, filmmaker/director names, supplied promotional images, approved trailer materials and brief excerpts for publicity and promotion of the festival.

I understand that submitting my film does not transfer ownership, copyright, streaming rights or distribution rights to The Muses Studio or TheBRNetwork. Any future distribution or programming arrangement would require a separate agreement.

I certify that the film does not knowingly infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy/publicity rights or other third-party rights and that I have obtained necessary permissions for music, performances and other protected material contained in the submitted work.
