5 REASONS TO SUBMIT TO THE ANNUAL SHINY AWARDS:
1/ THE REPUTATION: Shiny has an enviable word-of-mouth profile across the creative media industry. Commissioners & employers like us a lot! Being spotted by Shiny opens doors across the industry.
2/ THE SUPPORT: Every director, at any level, gets written feedback on their work from 3 companies in our world-class jury network.
3/ THE INCLUSIVITY: If you’re under-represented in the creative industry, eg female, PoC, disabled, you get a real leg-up with Shiny. Our panels, screenings, categories and shortlists are all rooted in diversity awareness and promotion.
4/ THE PROMOTION: Directors whose work scores highly with the industry jury are:
- screened at our monthly events
- promoted across our socials
- promoted on the #ShinyList, the only emerging directors list we know of (https://www.shinyawards.com/shinylist).
5/ THE CONNECTIONS: The connection new directors can make with the established industry is unparalleled. Online, and through our 'Meet the Commissioner' events, directors can connect with a range of previously inaccessible commissioners, reps and employers.
The first Shiny Awards were held in Feb 18, and were a sell-out success.
The second Shiny Awards were held at The Mill in London, in Feb 19 - and we squeezed in even more winners, industry people and fantastic films!
See the world-class jury network here https://www.shinyawards.com/#7
