The 5th International Cinema Guajolote Film Festival will take place from July 24 to July 26, 2026, in Zacatlán, Puebla. Our festival aims to decentralize cinema and provide a platform for emerging and established creators across Fiction, Documentary, and Animation categories. We are proud to be featured in IMCINE’s 2025 Mexican Cinema Yearbook.
Jury Verdict: A special Cinema Guajolote Statuette will be awarded to the best short film in Fiction, Documentary, and Animation categories.
Audience Award: Attendees will vote to award the 5th Edition Commemorative Set, featuring exclusive items.
Eligibility: Only works produced from January 1, 2023, onwards are eligible.
Duration: Short films between 1 and 15 minutes, including credits.
Language: Films in languages other than Spanish must include Spanish subtitles.
Categories: Fiction, Documentary, and Animation.
