Show of short films in summer cinema format in Plaza de Jaraba (Zaragoza).
A non-profit attempt to bring the art of the big screen and audiovisual communication to the rural areas of emptied Spain.
The objectives of the “Castillo de Jaraba” Short Film Exhibition are the dissemination, dissemination and screening of cinematographic works, as well as the knowledge of these by the attending public. The works presented do not compete for any cash prize, only for the evaluation of the attending public.
All selected short films will receive an accreditation diploma and the winners of each section will receive an exclusive trophy made of cut-out paper designed by Jose Antonio Berdie from the Eustaquio Castellano Cut-Out Toy Museum.

For the sixth year the association C.S.A. Jaraba Castle organizes a non-profit exhibition of short films to bring audiovisual creation closer to our town of 200 inhabitants in a summer film event. This year it is organized together with the laundry association with the support of the town council and the provincial council of Zaragoza.
Rules of the contest.
1-Any audiovisual piece is accepted: fiction, documentary, video-art, animation, video clip... from anywhere in the world.
Short films that are not in Spanish will have to be subtitled in Spanish. (subtitles inserted in the film)
The exhibition will be divided into sections.
Fiction, documentary, video clips, animation, horror-fantastic, comedy and high-profile cinema.
This year we have our own section for audiovisual productions under the name of El Alto Jalón with a special prize donated by the digital media of the same name. A section dedicated to the audiovisual production of Alto Jalón, and also of the rural environment of the Celtiberian Mountains in general. Producers and filmmakers from the rural areas of Zaragoza, Soria, Burgos, Teruel or Cuenca will be able to participate with their works in a section that will also host filming located in any of these rural areas with a theme focused on depopulation, the territorial challenge or the promotion of rural environment.
2.- The maximum duration of the short films may not exceed 10 minutes, including credits.
3.- No short film is paid for screening rights.
4.- There will be only one prize per section, which will be an exclusive trophy made of cut-out paper designed by José Antonio Berdie from the Eustaquio Castellano Cut-Out Toy Museum.
The jury will be made up of people from the two organizing associations and more people from the town.
5.- The selected works will be screened for free in the Plaza Afan in Ribera de Jaraba on August 9, 10 and 11, 2024.
