Cachaça Filmes has held the festival since 2009. It always brings in nationally renowned filmmakers and artists from the area, aiming to offer culture and leisure options, and to favor the region's economy. In the short term we intend to bring an “elite” audience to Vila de Paranapiacaba, and in the medium and long term to bring cinematographic productions to the region.

We also have the Short and Feature Films Contest.

RULES – Competitive Exhibition

1.1 Works captured in any format, with a maximum duration of 25 minutes (including credits), regardless of the year of production, may participate.

1.2 Films in the FICTION and DOCUMENTARY genres may be submitted, and ANIMATION may be used, produced in any country in Ibero-America.

1.3 Films not spoken in Portuguese must be subtitled in Portuguese (Brazilian) or with subtitles in SRT format.

Note: Films will be screened in DIGITAL FILE format.


2 - REGISTRATION

2.1 Registration is open until August 31, 2025 (until 11:59 p.m. Brasília time). Registration is entirely online (using the button above).

2.2 Registrations will only be confirmed upon completion of the online registration form. Each competitor may submit as many films as they wish, provided that a registration fee is paid for each film.

2.3 Films submitted for selection, even those not selected, will become part of the Cachaça Filmes collection and under no circumstances will the registration fee be refunded, whether the film is selected or not.

2.4 The festival organizers reserve the right to use up to 1' (one minute) of footage from the works for promotional purposes in any media.

2.5 It is hereby established that registered directors/producers undertake, at the time of registration, that the selected short films will be shown on the Filmjoin streaming platform for 30 days from the start of the festival.

2.6 The films entered are also automatically authorized to be shown in any traveling exhibitions that the festival may hold, at no cost to the festival or its organizers.

3 - AWARDS

3.1 The FIACINE festival organization will appoint a jury composed of renowned representatives from the artistic community. This committee will judge, among the selected works, those that stood out in each category, without distinction of capture medium, country of origin, or spoken language.

3.2 In the FICTION and DOCUMENTARY categories, awards will be given to films that stand out in the following categories:

FICTION
1 - Best Screenplay
2 - Best Director
3 - Best Performance
DOCUMENTARY
1 - Best Director
2 - Best Editing
ANIMATION
1 - Best Animation

3.3 The decision of this Jury is final. The festival organization reserves the right to create additional awards, which will be announced at a later date.

3.4 Participation in the “XII FIACINE – Ibero-American Film Festival” implies full acceptance of these regulations. Any cases not covered or unforeseen in these regulations will be analyzed and decided by the Festival Organization.
