Festival start: 09 June 2018      Festival end: 09 June 2018

2017 sees the first year of the Wheels and Fins International Film Festival - an event attached to The Wheels and Fins Festival (in Joss Bay, Kent) which is running for its fifth year. A festival that showcases all things great about the coastal lifestyle - surfing, skate, BMX, craft beers and music. In 2017 we are launching the first ever Wheels and Fins International Film Festival powered by Bou Mou Productions, an opportunity for us to celebrate the very same things on film.

We are screening all of our Official Selections at the wonderful independent Palace Cinema in Broadstairs, Kent (UK) where there will also be presentations from key people in the sports cinema world and a chance for the winner to screen to 5,000 daily festival-goers over three days at the main Wheels and Fins event in September.

We are looking for exciting, beautiful and authentic films that showcase the things we love - the sea, beaches, cliffs etc... you get the idea!

Our judging panel will be led by Raindance Winner Marc Price.

All Official Selection films will be screened at the main Wheels and Fins Festival in September 2018

PLEASE ENSURE YOU SUBMIT YOUR FILM IN THE CORRECT CATEGORY
Films submitted to the incorrect category will be automatically disqualified & any fees paid will not be reimbursed.

At our discretion, we may choose to transfer a film to the correct category, but only if the appropriate level of submission fee has been paid. Any excess fees paid will not be reimbursed.

GENERAL RULES
A) Guidelines

Films that have been aired on UK television prior to the Festival, are available for purchase on DVD or on VOD in Europe, or are available for continuous online viewing in their entirety are NOT eligible.

Exhibition copies of all films selected for screening at the festival must be submitted on Blu-Ray or digital online screener. Do not send film prints, master tapes or other originals. We can only screen films from the mentioned formats. Exhibition copies will not be returned after the festival.
Entrant confirms and warrants required legal authority to submit the entry into the Festival and to use all music, images and content in the entry.
Entrant will allow usage of clips from the film for promotional use on television, radio, in print and at live Festival events.
All entries must be either in English or subtitled in English. Non-English entries submitted without subtitles are not eligible.
Works in Progress will be judged on their status at submission. We will offer the chance to resend fully finished if we feel the film is of further interest. Final decision stands with the judging committee and Festival team.
Only complete entries (including entry form, payment and preview online screener) will be processed.
The Wheels and Fins International Film Festival is not responsible for incorrect wording in publications or on awards if the entry form is incorrect.
