The LK Film Festival is a division of the LK Foundation dedicated to discovering and celebrating emerging talents in cinema.
Established in 2003, the LK Foundation is a dedicated trust committed to excellence in education and film production.
Headquartered in New Delhi, with an administrative office in Kochi and branch offices in Bangalore, Coimbatore, and Dubai, the foundation operates across diverse regions, offering impactful services that empower individuals and industries alike. The LK Foundation spans 15 specialized domains in education, career development, and professional training, helping individuals achieve their goals and build successful careers. In addition, the foundation has two exclusive domains dedicated to film production, providing pan-Indian services to support and promote the art of filmmaking.
One of its most notable initiatives is the LK Film Festival, a dedicated platform established to organize numerous festivals across India. These festivals are designed to promote meaningful cinema, nurture emerging talents, and serve as a bridge between renowned Indian and international filmmakers. Through these initiatives, the LK Foundation continues to celebrate the richness of art and culture while fostering the next generation of storytellers and creative visionaries.
The LK Film Festival aims to becoming a premier platform that nurtures and empowers young filmmakers, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence in cinema. By promoting high-quality cinema at state, national, and international levels, we aim to inspire the next generation of filmmakers to push artistic boundaries, engage with socially relevant themes, and contribute to the evolution of storytelling as a powerful medium of expression.
LK Film Festival, organized by LK Foundation, is committed to inspiring and empowering filmmakers by providing them with opportunities to showcase their talent, learn from industry experts, and gain recognition. Through competitions, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities, the festival fosters a culture of storytelling that embraces creativity, diversity, and social impact, positioning Kerala as a hub for emerging cinematic talent.

To ensure a smooth and fair participation process, all filmmakers are requested to follow the official guidelines of LKSFF 2026. These standards reflect the festival’s commitment to quality, inclusivity, and professionalism.
Registration Process
Participants can register their short films through the official LK Short Film Festival website or through recognized festival platforms such as Festhome.
The official announcement of registration dates will be released shortly.
Film Duration
All entries must be under 30 minutes in total runtime, including opening and closing credits.
Language & Subtitles
Films in any language are welcome.
English subtitles are mandatory for all films.
Themes & Genres
The festival accepts films on any theme or subject, encouraging creativity and diversity.
This includes silent short films and experimental works.
Submission & Format
Films must be submitted in a high-quality digital format suitable for screening.
Technical specifications for file formats will be provided upon registration.
Eligibility
Open to filmmakers of all ages and nationalities.
Both individual and team submissions are accepted.
Registration Fee

Selection & Screening
All submitted films will go through a selection process by the festival committee.
Selected films will be screened during LKSFF 2026.

Films can be in any Indian language, but non Hindi and non-English films must include English subtitles.
Open to filmmakers from all states of India.
