EIDF, Presented by Korea Educational Broadcasting System. is 12th edition this year.
As an unique documentary festival of which all the selected works are screened at theaters and are broadcast during festival, EIDF has contributed to introduce the excellent, various documentaries to the audeince and develop the quialify of docuemtary making.

. Award
Total of five awards for EIDF Competition Section will be given by the International Jury and the General Audience.
A. Grand Prix (Festival Choice) with USD 10,000
B. Spirit Award with USD 7,000
C. Special Jury Award with USD 5,000
D. UNICEF Award with USD 5,000
E. Audience Award with USD 3,000
Above monetary awards will be subject to appropriate taxes.

EBS has launched its first EBS international Documentary Festival under the theme of Challenging Asia in 2004.

The only documentary festival in the world with TV broadcasting and cinema screening, for the past ten years EIDF has become one of the most prestigious festivals in the world.

By organizing master classes and workshops during the festival, EIDF has provided artistic inspirations and practical training opportunities to documentary makers. In addition to that, Doc campus which launched in 2013 offers emerging directors the opportunity to meet and work with highly esteemed filmmakers and film professionals who are willing to share their knowledge and experience

From 24th to 30th August 2014, EIDF will celebrate its 12th festival and present far more diverse and marvellous documentaries from worldwide. As always, you will have the unforgettable TV experiences with EIDF, we believe.

* Program Selection
The selection committee of EIDF will review all films entered into EIDF 2015 based on the regulations of Korean Broadcasting Committee and the EBS censorship guide.

* Eligibility
EIDF accepts entries of non-fiction film or video works only, which were produced after January 2014. Any length is acceptable, but length of over 30 minutes will be well considered. Works entered in EIDF should not have been released commercially, or broadcasted in South Korea.

* Entry
Anyone who wishes to submit a film should submit it through mail to the address posted below or should submit it directly to EIDF office.

* Exhibition
Selected work will be broadcasted through EBS-TV and vod service also will be provided through EIDF web site during EIDF 2015 period. It will be compensated by EBS’s licensing fee.
