One of the main events dedicated to the promotion of contemporary production of Ibero-American animation cinema reaches its 17th edition punctuated with attractions, in addition to the already traditional parade of the main animated productions in Portuguese and Spanish.

For the next edition, exceptionally, Baixada Animada will receive films from other countries outside the Ibero-American region that will make up the "AniMundo Show", a parallel out-of-competition show.

The winners in the categories:

Best Brazilian Short Film, Best International Short Film and Best Feature Film will receive an Award Certificate.

There will be no cash prizes.

A – Entries for animated short films, with a maximum duration of 15 minutes, will be accepted; and animated feature films, over 60 minutes long, produced in Brazil, Portugal, Spain and Spanish-American countries, starting in 2022;

B - Entries will also be accepted for short films, with a maximum duration of 15 minutes, produced in countries outside the Ibero-American region, to be shown out of competition, at the AniMundo Show.

C - Each participant may submit as many works as they wish;

D - The official language of the Mostra Baixada Animada is Brazilian Portuguese. For subtitling purposes, when registering films produced in other languages, the participant must provide a time-coded text file (.srt) in Spanish, English or Portuguese containing the dialogues, narration and music relevant to the understanding of the work. The Mostra performs subtitling in Brazilian Portuguese for all films in a foreign language based on the dialogue list, with time-code, provided by the participant at the time of registration.

E – The list of selected short films will be published until June 3, 2024 on the Show's official website: www.baixadaanimada.com.br. All those selected will receive a certificate of participation.

F - It will be up to the exhibition's curatorship to indicate the works that will compete in each of the categories. During curatorship, a maximum of 10 Brazilian films and 10 foreign films will be pre-selected, which will compete in the following categories: Best Brazilian Short Film and Best International Short Film.

G - In the feature film category, all those selected will compete for best film by popular vote. In this category there will be no distinction between Brazilian and foreign films.

H - In no case will fees or taxes be paid for exhibition rights to selected or invited films.

I - The registered directors grant BENGUELA Produções e Eventos Culturais Ltda the right – free of charge – to display and disseminate images from the film (photos and fragments with a maximum of 30 seconds), at any time and without limits of times without any remuneration to participants.

J - It is the participant's responsibility to use third-party images and music in their films, in addition to any conflict arising from copyright infringement.

L - The entry of the work indicates the full acceptance of this regulation by the person in charge.Best Brazilian Short Film and Best International Short Film.
