LA International Film Festival features both feature-length and short-form films in competitive programs designed to showcase exceptional storytelling. Our carefully curated selection highlights breakout voices in the Los Angeles film community and beyond. The festival provides a powerful platform for these emerging artists to gain recognition, network with industry professionals, and screen their work for a dedicated and appreciative audience.

Categories
LA International Film Festival accepts films of any genre in the following categories:
– Features, Narrative, Documentary (41 minutes or longer, including credits)
– Shorts, Narrative, Documentary, Animation (40 minutes or less, including credits)
Submission eligibility and format
– All submissions must have been completed after January 1, 2025
– Works-in-progress are accepted
Selection
Successful submissions will receive a filmmaker festival pack that will include important information on sending DCP to the festival, press and publicity, guest accreditation, contact information and how to make the most of participating in the festival.
Screening
A selected DCP must be received no later than 17 days prior to its scheduled screening date. We aspire to provide the best quality projection possible but will not be held liable for any failure in the technical quality of the projection, nor will fees be refunded in any such case. We assume that the submitting party or filmmaker(s) or entrant(s) or print source company has insured for damage and loss of the festival screening copy.
Screenings are scheduled during the festival at the discretion of LA Film Fest. While every effort will be made to adhere to the published schedule, We reserve the right to make changes at any time for any reason. LA Film Fest will not be liable for any costs claimed as a result of a change in schedule.
No film may be withdrawn from the festival program after its selection, and no film may be screened outside the festival venue during the festival and before its official presentation without the approval of LA Film Fest.
