ABOUT REYKJAVIK MOVIE AWARDS
Reykjavik is a city in Iceland, the land of the vikings. the mighty warriors always get to victory at any cost. the viking era has passed, but their power has remained in many of us and its great manifestation is seen in the independent filmmakers of today. we are looking for those vikings who went through fire and water to create a film and are now ready to fight for the right to be the best of the best.
We’re accepting any genres and forms of films.

Gala Awarding ceremony with live-screenings will happen in August and will consist lectures on boats , red carpet, Q&A, evening screenings for 3 days.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Screening programme will form every two months from pool of submissions

ANNUAL AWARD CEREMONY
A unique viewing bar and an excellent movie theater, which is also suitable for private parties and meetings, will be the venue for the Reykjavik Movie Awards.

INVALUABLE EXPERIENCE
We invite renowned directors, screenwriters and actors to give master classes and lectures, where festival-goers can gain new knowledge and experience.

RULES
Please read these Rules & Terms carefully before you submit your film. By submitting your film into competition in the Reykjavic International Movie Awards, you expressly acknowledge and agree that you shall be bound by the terms of these Rules & Terms.
Submitting your film to the Reykjavic International Movie Awards is not a guarantee of selection.
All the winning films will receive an award or certificate.

We treat every filmmaker equally.

1. Films made in languages other than English must have English subtitles otherwise they will be summarily rejected.
2. The Reykjavic International Movie Awards reserves the right to refuse entries.
3. The
Reykjavic International Movie Awards will not refund any fees if the filmmaker fails to submit the film in the correct category. Films submitted without the correct fees or proper submission media may be deemed ineligible at the discretion of the Reykjavic International Movie Awards programming director or executive director. The festival does not cover any of the expenses incurred by the filmmaker.
4. After a film has been an official selection, the filmmaker will be notified. The Official Selection status doesn’t mean that your film will be screened at the festival. It means that your film has been appreciated by our judges of panel and you can use the festival logo on your poster.
5. Festival can change dates and place of the event.
6. A filmmaker’s submission fee will not be reimbursed if they decide to withdraw their submission. All entry fees are non-refundable.
7. Reykjavic International Movie Awards may without advance notice amend these Rules & Terms from time to time. Each and every such amendment shall become effective immediately. It is your responsibility to periodically check for updates of these Rules & Terms.
