The World Cinema Festival provides various screening and networking opportunities around the world for talented independent filmmakers and writers.

Each season of the WCF will take place in a different city around the world. The inaugural season of the WCF aims to be a delightful one. We’ll be setting the 2016 session off in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. We will establish a sense of worldwide community within the filmmaking and literary industries while showcasing an array of amazing independent talent and artistry. Our 10 categories of submission will provide plenty of variety for the different styles of creative expression. Screenings will take in Copacabana at the JW Marriott. There will also be 13 awards up for grabs.

*Submissions must be subtitled or dubbed if in any language other than english.

*We do not confirm receipt by telephone or email. Please include a self-addressed
stamped postcard with each entry if you want confirmation of receipt.

*Entry fees are non-refundable.

*Entries must have been produced within the past 8 years.

*Press kits are not required initially

The World Cinema Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.

The Competition reserves the right to refuse entries. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless The World Cinema Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered. Entries will not be returned.
