Muestra Intergaláctica Short Film Festival is a space where people can present their film projects of all kinds of genre.

It started as a small local show. Due to the response of the people and thanks to the support of sponsors, it has become an event with local, national and international short films.

The attendance to the Intergalactic Short Film Festival has increased edition after edition, initially with a unique function, however, since the edition of the year 2017, additional days were added to the festival in order to show content in a section of honorable mentions.

We have had more and more coverage by the media, and we hope in this edition to receive better and more productions from around the world, and of course a greater response from the public and satisfaction, as well as sharing the work of the filmmakers.

Best Feature Film by Muestra Intergaláctica Staff

The prices consists sculpture made by a local artist and sent to the director (shipping restrictions may apply)

BASES FOR SHORTFILMS

1. The preferred maximum duration of 20 minutes.

2. Full HD resolution (1080p), 2k, 4k free format (preferably .mp4 or .mov).

3. Synopsis: Maximum 200 characters and technical specifications of the short film

4. Contact information: Name and email

5. Works completed from January 2021 will be received.
Only fiction, documentary and animated short films are accepted.

6. If selected and the language is different from Spanish, a subtitled version will be required. If the subtitled version or the material required to make the subtitling is not sent, the short film will be disqualified.

GENERAL FOR SHORTFILMS

1. The reception will take place from July 1st, 2024, until November 1st, 2024; The selected productions will be announced in February 2025.

2. The screenings of the short films will only be on the stipulated dates of the event.

3. Its personal use and distribution will depend on each author.
The filmmakers are solely responsible for their works, and everything included in them, the festival declines all legal responsibility for its content.

SELECTION FOR SHORTFILMS

1. The reception will take place from July 1st, 2024, until November 1st, 2024; The selected productions will be announced in February 2025.

1. The selection of the previously registered feature films will be in charge of the Intergalactic Council; its decision will be final.

2. Official Selection XII: The event will take place in March 2025, in movie theaters in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.

3. At the end of the festival, a recognition will be given by the Intergalactic Council to the best feature film of the Official Selection XII.
