The competition is addressed to filmmakers from all over the world who produce short films and documentaries.

Its purpose is to appraise short films and documentary-films whose goal is expressiveness and cultural disclosure starting a cinematographic event throughout Val d’Intelvi.

A jury appointed by the organisers will evaluate the short films and documentaries in competition and award prizes to the two best works overall, one for the short film section and the other for documentaries. The jury will be made up of experts and enthusiasts in cinematography, photography and other visual arts. The following prizes will also be awarded:

• Audience Award – popular jury;

• Best Cinematography Award (short film or documentary);

• Best Performance Award (short film);

• Best Soundtrack Award (short film or documentary);

• Special Award: 'Women in backlight, faceless, voiceless, nameless';

• Two awards for the best films submitted by schools.

Winners will receive a one-night stay for two people (bed and breakfast). Winners will receive a plaque and other prizes of various kinds, including those offered by local businesses.

RULES
1 - Participation in the competition requires the payment of a fee of €5.00 per author (regardless of how many sections they wish to participate in), to be paid in the manner indicated below.

2 - There are two SECTIONS:

4) Documentaries.


And two themes, valid for the above sections:

4. 'Telling the story of sport - The soul in play' - The passion, courage and vulnerability of those who live and breathe sport;

5. "Beyond the visible" - the theme invites exploration of the invisible, the imaginary, the subtle, both in the content and form of short films and documentaries. It lends itself to broad interpretations, touching on topics such as spirituality, the psyche, nature, technology and human relationships from an unusual perspective)

6. 'Free'.

There is a section dedicated to films made by schools in Italy (both lower and upper secondary schools).

3 – Entries must be received no later than Sunday 28 February 2026 and sent via www.wetransfer.com or similar services to the email addresscortintelvi@gmail.com or via the online services offered by https://festhome.com/

4 – Each author may submit one work per section (in Italian or with Italian subtitles – short films and documentaries that are not in Italian or do not have Italian subtitles will be excluded from the competition) with a maximum duration of 25 minutes, including opening and closing credits. Each work submitted must be accompanied by a completed and signed entry form, which is an integral and substantial part of these rules.

A video trailer and poster for the film must also be sent together with the films.


5 – The organisers reserve the right not to admit works to the competition that do not respect the seriousness of the event and, in particular, reserve the right to exclude videos that contain messages of pornography and racism.

6 – Each author is responsible for the content of the work submitted and for the use of copyrighted music. Furthermore, by submitting the work, the author declares that they are the owner of all rights to use the work, without exception, and that the content of the work does not violate any laws in force and does not contain any defamatory content. In any case, the sender releases the organisation from any responsibility for the content of the work screened in public.

7 – The organisation is not responsible for damage to or loss of submitted works.

8 – The organisation reserves the right to modify this announcement due to force majeure or for the purpose of improving it; any changes will be communicated to competitors in a timely manner.

9 – The organisation will make an initial selection of the works to be screened in public during evenings dedicated to evaluation by the popular jury, which will award a special prize.

11 – The jury reserves the right not to award prizes if there are not enough participants to justify the event.

12 – The participation fee of €5.00 can be paid by bank transfer to Ass.ne Amici del Museo di Casasco Intelvi – Banca Popolare di Sondrio Agenzia di Centro Valle Intelvi (Co) – IBAN: IT73 J 05696 05680 000020825X63 or via Paypal (museo.casascointelvi@gmail.com). Those who submit their short films through Festhome service may pay the fee directly to them, which will then be transferred to the Festival's organisational secretariat.

13 – All travel and accommodation expenses for participants wishing to attend the event and the awards ceremony are to be borne entirely by the participants themselves, with the exception of those who receive awards, whose accommodation (bed and breakfast only) will be provided by the Festival organisers. awards and trophies not collected directly during the award ceremonies will be sent at the recipient's expense.


14 – The registration form (one for each work submitted) must be clearly completed in all its parts, duly signed in original and sent (under penalty of exclusion from the competition). In the case of works created by minors, the signature of a parent and/or guardian is also required. If required by law, any releases must also be attached to the registration form. The aforementioned releases also authorise any dissemination (TV, web, mobile and/or other media) for the promotional purposes of the event. 15 – Winners will receive a one-night stay for two people (bed and breakfast). Winners will receive a plaque and other prizes of various kinds, including those offered by local businesses.

16 – The detailed programme of the event will be published on the website www.cortintelvi.it. The event will be held in June, July and August 2026.

17 – During the awards ceremony, the winning short film and documentary will be screened, while all the titles selected by the jury will be screened during the Festival period and those receiving the other prizes indicated in point 10) will be screened on the day following the awards ceremony. The schedule will be announced in early 2026 and published on the official website.

The organisers of the Festival are: the Associazione Amici del Museo di Casasco Intelvi (Friends of the Casasco Intelvi Museum Association) and the Foto Idea photography and video studio in San Fedele.
