The Galician Freaky Film Festival is an international freak and underground festival, which admits films belonging to the horror, fantasy, science fiction, freak or B series genres.

Grand Prix PEQUEFREAK, to the best freakiest children’s film.
Jury's decisions and decisions taken by others with awards decision-making power are unappealable.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Everybody can take part without any kind of restriction.
Films of horror, fantasy, scifi, and freak genres are eligible.
There is no limit in the number of films per each competitor.
Short films with a maximum duration of 30 minutes and feature films with a maximum duration of 120 minutes are eligible.
Films produced in 2020 or later are eligible.
Films that respect equality, diversity and non discrimination are eligible.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Film entries in any language different from Spanish or Galician must be subtitled in any of these two languages, or at least competitors must send to the GFFF organization a dialogue list in english, Spanish or Galician.

The entry deadline for submitting short films is on June 13th, 2022 at 23:59 CET.
SCREENING
Short films selected will be screened during the GFFF’s exhibition named Galician Freaky Film Festival in Vigo (Galicia, Spain), taking place between 29 September and 2 October 2021.
The organisation reserves the possibility to screen the films selected for the Galician Freaky Film Festival Competition in other festivals and exhibitions in collaboration with the GFFF organisation. In that case, it will be informed that those short films have been selected to the Galician Freaky Film Festival.

SECURE online STREAMING
Since 2020, the GFFF has an online festival, allowing us to show films to our audience even in these tough times. Security and quality is key for us and we partner with top professional streaming providers.
online screening at the online festival is optional, encouraged, but not mandatory, and it will be if the health situation so requires.
The GFFF audience is international but geo-restrictions are allowed in the diffusion of the films on our platform.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
In the event of dates or location changes, these will be published at the festival's website.
Official selection will be announced by email to all competitors and it will be released at the GFFF official website.
ADHERENCE TO THESE RULES
Submission to the Festival implies the adherence to the present competition rules and regulations.
The jury, the festival’s organization and/or A.C. Abella Producións have the power to deal with all unforeseen cases in the present competition rules and regulations.
In case of dispute, only the Galician version of the present competition rules and regulations will count, and not any derived translation.
