SÁFIC@S International Film Festival: Queer, Non Binary and Lesbian cinema in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
We showcase short films created by members of the lesbian, transvestite, transgender and non-binary community on Argentinian screens.

By watching films from around the world, we can see, hear, reflect on and experience how love is expressed and how female characters relate sexually and emotionally.

Honouring Sappho's heritage, we ask ourselves as a community what does Sapphic mean today?

We will be screening films during Pride Month in Argentina, June 26 -28th, in Rosario (Santa Fe) and Buenos Aires.

Jury Awards: We will have a jury of audiovisual professionals and researchers who will grant one award per section and may also provide a special mention for each category. The prize consists of:

- a certificate
- a new screening of the winning pieces in November 2027.

An Audience Choice Award will also be presented, based on voting that will take place both in person and through social media.

The SÁFICXS International Audiovisual Festival brings to Argentine screens short films made by people who self-identify as part of the Lesbian, Travesti, Trans, Intersex, and Non-binary collective. We see, listen, reflect, and feel by watching on screen how lesbian personalities and characters express themselves and relate to one another. Honoring the legacy of the poet Sappho, a Greek woman who lived on the island of Lesbos in the 7th century BC, whose verses worshipping the Goddess Aphrodite and moved by the beauty of femininity generated the term that names us as a diverse identity even today. We ask ourselves as a community: What does "sapphic" mean today?

The screenings of the selected films will be in-person and will take place in Buenos Aires, from June 26 to 28, 2027, in the context of Pride Month.
