The Cotonou International Digital Film Festival is organized by the association LA PERSEVERANCE 35, which operates in the fields of arts, culture, and social solidarity. Its goal is to introduce the public to the diversity of digital filmmaking.

The festival will feature:

- An international selection of films across all genres, showcasing the most creative new talent.
Any film (fiction, animation, documentary, short or feature-length, etc.) completed after January 2024 may be submitted to the festival's selection committee.

Article 1 – Objectives

The Cotonou International Digital Film Festival is organized by the association LA PERSEVERANCE 35, which operates in the artistic, cultural, and solidarity sectors. Its goal is to introduce the public to the diversity of digital filmmaking.

The festival will feature:

- An international selection of films across all genres, showcasing the most creative new talent.

- A "BRETON CINEMA" section: short films or documentaries exploring Breton identity (language, heritage, territory). Films in Breton (subtitled).

- Student films.

- Meetings with directors and audiovisual professionals.

Article 2 – Conditions of Participation

Any film (fiction, animation, documentary, short or feature-length, etc.) completed after January 2024 may be submitted to the festival's selection committee.

Films must have been shot digitally.

All films must be in French or subtitled in French.

Article 3 – Registration

Registration for the festival is open to everyone.

Directors or production companies may submit multiple films, but a separate registration form must be completed for each film submitted.

Directors and production companies wishing to participate must submit their registration package and film no later than December 20, 2026.

N.B.: Please attach the following items separately: a registration form duly completed and signed (by a rights holder), a film synopsis, the director's biography/filmography, and a film still. Please send these, along with a download link for your film, via email to laperseverance35@gmail.com no later than December 20, 2026.

Article 4 – Format

Accepted screening format: DIGITAL FILE.

These files will be retained by the festival organizing committee for archival purposes.

Article 5 – Selection

Selection will be carried out by the festival’s artistic direction, with a particular focus on works demonstrating relevance regarding staging and the use of digital tools.

Directors whose films have been selected will be notified as soon as possible via email, telephone, or mail. They will be invited to participate in screenings and meetings held during the festival.

Article 6 – Screening

The 10th Edition of the Cotonou International Digital Cinema Festival will take place from June 4 to June 12, 2027, in Rennes, Brittany (France).

All screenings and meetings with film professionals will be open to the public on a "pay-what-you-wish" basis. An awards ceremony is planned.

Article 7 – Screening and duplication rights

In accordance with current international regulations, the festival reserves the right to schedule up to three screenings for each selected film.

No screenings organized as part of the festival are remunerated.

The festival reserves the right to determine the screening dates for selected films. The festival reserves the right to promote selected films using excerpts not exceeding three minutes or 10% of the film's total runtime.

Article 8 – Unforeseen circumstances and disputes

The organizers reserve the right to postpone or suspend the festival, modify these regulations, and grant potential exemptions to the provisions above upon a substantiated request.
Any matters not covered by these regulations will be decided by the organizing committee, which shall act as the final arbiter in the event of a dispute.

Participation in the Cotonou International Digital Cinema Festival implies unconditional acceptance of these regulations.
