La Pecca was born as a cultural project in 2007 by DeFrente Association.

DeFrente is a feminist, non-profit organization from Seville that was established in 2006, for the defense of lesbians, gays, trans and bisexuals (LGTB) rights, responding to situations of discrimination and
marginalization present in multiple areas of his daily life.

Pecca de Oro (Jury Award): 1000 €.
Pecca de Plata (Audience Award): 500 €.

Not cummulative.

XII Edition Rules and Regulations
LGBTI Short Film Contest organised by Asociación DeFrente

THEME
The main or secondary subject of the short films must be about sexual or gender diversity: homosexuality, bisexuality, transsexuality, intersexuality, etc.

PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS
The contest is open to international filmmakers over 16 years, professionals or amateurs. No matter residence or nationality.
The number of short films presented by each contestant is unlimited.

SHORT FILM REQUIREMENTS
Short films must be a maximum duration of 20 minutes, including credit sequence.
They could have been already projected, selected or awarded in other Festivals or Contests, except in other editions of LA PECCA.
The production date must be after 1st January 2017.
Short films must be submitted in Spanish or subtitled in Spanish.
The submission format recommended is Ultra HD 3840x2160.

SHORT FILM DEPOSIT AND DEADLINE
The deadline for entries is 1 October 2019, inclusive. Contest inscription is free.
Short films must be submitted through one of the following options:

- Mail to Asociación DeFrente (C/ Pacheco y Núñez de Prado 51, 41002 Sevilla (Spain)).
- E-mail to cultura@defrente.org with the link and password of the short film in streaming platform (example: vimeo)

SHORT FILM SELECTION
The Selection Committee will check that every short film submitted meets all the requirements of the Contest. They can also dismiss the short films they consider low quality.
Among the shorts films selected, The Contest Jury, which will be composed of audiovisual professionals and LGBTI activists, will choose the best quality short films up to a maximum of 10.
The list with the finalists will be published on www.lapecca.com and on any other media, according to the judgement of Asociación DeFrente.
The Contestants who deposited a selected short film must give a high quality copy of it to the Contest Organization at least 10 days before the projection.

AWARDS
There are two kinds of awards:
- Pecca de Oro (the Golden Pecca) consists of 1000 € and a trophy, given by the Jury.
- Pecca de Plata (the Silver Pecca) consists of 500 € and a trophy, given by the audience in the Ceremony.
The awards are subject to withholding taxes and are not cumulative. The awards cannot be declared void.

SHORT FILM SCREENING AND AWARDS CEREMONY
The finalist short films will be shown and the awards will be given at a Ceremony on December 2019 in Sevilla (Spain).
If there is not any person representing the winning short films in the Ceremony, Asociación DeFrente will deliver the award as soon as possible.

CLAIMS AND FURTHER INFORMATION
The short films submitted must not have their distribution rights reserved by any mean.
The contestants will have the responsibility of checking that their short films are not involved in any legal process.
Entry in the Contest implies acceptance the Conditions mentioned above.
The decision of the Selection Committee, the Jury and the audience is final.
The organisers will solve any doubt about this rules and regulations.
The Organization reserves the right to modify this terms if necessary and will inform to the contestants.
