THE CATALONIA INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL FILM FESTIVAL has as his basic aims the dissemination and promotion of films that contribute to the knowledge of world cinema Social Film, on Human Rights and Civil Rights

Among all the films selected for the OFFICIAL COMPETITION SECTIONS, feature films
and short films, a jury will decide on the awarding of the following prizes:

FIRST PRIZE, endowed with 1.000 euros for feature films and 500 euros for short films.

SPECIAL PRIZE OF THE JURY, with no prize money.

AUDIENCE AWARD, with no prize money.

The two juries will be made up of people who have no connection with the films presented
in the competition and of recognised prestige in the Cinematographic and Cultural
Community.

RULES OF PARTICIPATION IN THE XVIII EDITION OF CLAM, INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF SOCIAL CINEMA OF CATALONIA

1. THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL FILM FESTIVAL OF CATALONIA has as its basic objective the dissemination and promotion of films that contribute to the knowledge of world cinematography in the sections of Social Cinema, Human Rights and Civil Rights.

2. The XVIII Edition of the INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL FILM FESTIVAL OF CATALONIA
will be held from the 23rd of September to the 2nd of October 2022. The festival has two
competitive sections in which may participate producers, filmmakers and natural or legal
persons from all over the world who own the rights to the works they present.

3. The films registered to participate in the OFFICIAL COMPETITION SECTIONS
(feature films and short films) must fulfil the following conditions:

a. Be produced between 2020 and 2022 and not have been commercially released in
Spain, either in cinemas, on DVD / Blu-Ray, video, television, or digital platforms.

b. The duration of the short films in competition will be a maximum of 15 minutes.

c. They will be screened in their original version with subtitles in Catalan or Spanish. If they are entered without this requirement, the list of dialogues translated into Catalan,
Spanish or english with the corresponding timecode will be provided; this requirement is
indispensable.

4. The Festival's selection committee will choose, from among all the films submitted to
the competition, the ones that will be screened during the Festival.

5. The selected films will be screened in cinemas and also through digital pay-per-view
platforms during the Festival. Depending on the circumstances, the evolution of the
pandemic and the consequent health measures imposed by the authorities, the organisation may opt for online broadcasting only. The representatives of the selected films will be informed in advance of the way in which they will be screened.

6. prizes AND JURY. There will be two juries, one for feature films and one for short films.

A representative of the festival organisation will attend the deliberations without taking
part in the voting, acting as secretary and taking the minutes of the sessions.
CLAM will award a diploma accrediting the participation of all the films participating in the official competition sections, which will be the testimony of their public screening at the Festival and may be used in the public promotion of the films.

The Jury's decision will be made public during the Closing Ceremony of the Festival and
will be final.

7. The winning films must specify the award obtained at the International Social Film
Festival of Catalonia on all their posters, publicity and on the titles of the copies released in Spain, both in their theatrical screening and in their release for domestic format (DVD, Blu-Ray, etc.) and other platforms.

8. REGISTRATIONS: To participate in the XVIII International Social Film Festival of
Catalonia, you must register through the following platforms and follow the procedure
specified by them, both for the registration of the film and to submit the candidature to
the Festival.

deadline for entries: registration will close on 30 April 2022.

Entry fees: short films will have an entry fee of €15 and feature films will have an entry
fee of €25.

9. SCREENING COPIES. Films already selected and invited by the Selection
Committee.

The copies of the films must be sent in DCP format or, failing that, in digital files with
".mp4" extension and H264 video codec.
The CLAM organisation will provide the necessary promotional material for each film
submitted (photos, synopsis, posters, pressbook) as well as the list of dialogues for subtitling if necessary. For feature films, it will be necessary to send a trailer of maximum 2 minutes. The online distribution of the trailer will be done through the area reserved for the media in the official website of the festival (www.clamfestival.org).

All selected films and promotional material must reach the festival organisers before 15
June 2022.

10. Transport costs (if any), from the place of dispatch of the copy and vice versa, shall
be borne by the entity registering the film.

11. The production companies and/or owners of the public exhibition rights of the films
will grant permission for screening during the Festival, at no cost to the Festival.

12. CLAM Management will establish the order and date of screening of each film. Once
a film has been registered, it may not be withdrawn, in accordance with article 4 of these regulations, before its screening at the festival. Participation implies full acceptance of these regulations. Their interpretation shall be responsibility of CLAM Management.
