FECISO celebrates its tenth edition as a space for showcasing independent Colombian and international cinema, with a special focus on works that engage with memory, the armed conflict, violence, social struggles, the resistance of communities, the defense of territory, human rights, and the diverse realities of Colombia.

General requirements

The works must have been completed by the dates established for each category, must not have participated in previous editions, and must be submitted through Festhome or FilmFreeway. Submission through the official application form will be available only for the Boyacá categories. Works in languages other than Spanish must include subtitles.

NOTE: FECISO is part of the list of Colombian festivals that qualify for the Automatic Grant, which provides support for attending the event if your work is selected.

**SPECIFIC SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS**

Submissions must be made exclusively through the Festhome or FilmFreeway platforms. The official submission form will be used only for the Boyacá categories, from **July 1 to August 30, 2026**.

**Submission fees:**

- Free for the National Competition, New Filmmakers Competition, Regional Competition, School Competition, VR Competition, Music Video Competition, and Guaque del Sol Competition.

- USD 12 for the International Short Film Competition.

Works that are publicly available on the Internet will **NOT** be accepted. Music videos are exempt from this requirement.

Works submitted to previous editions of FECISO will **NOT** be accepted.

The same director or producer may submit a maximum of **one work per category**.

For the screening and pre-selection process, submitted works must include **Spanish subtitles** if they are not spoken in Spanish. The creators of pre-selected works agree to deliver the exhibition copy with subtitles in a timely manner according to the submission schedule.

**Requirements for projection copies of selected works:** Resolution 1920 × 1080, MP4 format.

**IMPORTANT NOTE:**
Pre-selected works will be required to send the following information by email, using WeTransfer, Google Drive, FileMail, or other file-sharing platforms. Works that do not meet this requirement within the deadlines established by the organization will not be eligible for selection in the **10th edition of the Festival**:

1. Projection copy of the selected work, minimum resolution HD 1920 × 1080.
2. Three images (film stills / production stills) from the work at 300 dpi, JPG format.
3. One photo of the director, minimum resolution 300 dpi, JPG format.
4. Poster of the work, minimum resolution 300 dpi, JPG format.
5. HD trailer of the work.
6. A Word document including: short synopsis, country, year of production, running time, original language, director's biography, trailer link, and contact name and email address.
7. Completed and signed FECISO 2026 exhibition authorization form. (This document will be sent only to pre-selected works.)

The Official Selection of the **10th FECISO** will be announced on **October 12, 2026**, commemorating the Day of the Ethnic and Cultural Diversity of the Colombian Nation. The announcement will take place at the Cinemateca del Sol, Calle 9 #9–64, Sogamoso, headquarters of the 10th FECISO, and through the Festival's official communication channels.
