The Naoussa International Film Festival constitutes a unique event. It's a very pioneering, innovative, youthful, active, vivid, and qualitative experience. For the Naoussa International Film Festival, the adoption of digital technology consists of an evident strategist choice. A choice which brings it in the front role of progress in the new digital era of cinema and contributes to the formation of its distinguishable character.

Thanks to the technological innovations and the willingness of its people, the festival embraces all creators, provides a chance to express themselves, supports them, showing particular interest in the creator and his/her work.

The quality, vividness, variety, innovation, and professionalism that discriminate each individual part of the festival have established it in the consciousness of creators and the public as a real cultural celebration.

A festival that people around the globe, distinguished people of the artistic field, high-quality pictures, events of unique interests, activities for children imaginary musical journeys, along with the spirit of volunteers compose an impressive mosaic of colors, images, sounds, culture, joy, and creation.

There is a cash pool price of €15,000 to be awarded in total to all awardees.

By submitting your film, you agree that Naoussa International Film Festival can use parts of your film (including trailer/teaser/film poster) for promotional purposes.

To submit a film, you must have created the project yourself, own the rights, or have permission from the owner of the content to submit the film to us.

Naoussa International Film Festival will review films in their entirety. Films will be watched and reviewed by members of the Selection Committee; a professional group of filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and critics. Films are scored accordingly.

ALL FILMS THAT MAKE THE FINAL SELECTION ARE REQUIRED TO SEND US A DCP FORMAT OF THEIR FILM TO US VIA WETRANSFER OR ANY LINK THAT WE CAN DOWNLOAD THEIR FILES FROM

1. Films must be subtitled in English, (except those films whose dialogues are in the English language).

2. The film must have been completed 18 months maximum before the date of the Festival. For the 7th edition (2022) eligible films are those completed from January 2020 and afterward.

3. Works in progress will be considered. Final Films must be submitted before the set deadline.

4. All rights including music clearance must be confirmed by the Film’s Producer(s)

5. Multiple entries are allowed. You may submit more than one film in the same category

6. At our discretion, we may choose to transfer a film to the correct category

7. A screening committee will determine which films will be exhibited, submissions are not guaranteed to be shown. All decisions of the committee are final.

8. The total duration of the films in all categories cannot exceed 30 minutes for short films and have a minimum run time of 50 minutes for feature films.

9. Winners will be presented with their awards during the Naoussa International Film Festival Awards Ceremony.

10. Submissions are NON-refundable. We cannot be held liable for materials that are lost or damaged.
