The second edition of Pila Audiovisual Festival (FAP) produced by the Municipality of Pila, under the organization of the Municipal Cinema Theater "Padre Adolfo Anastasio", will be held in person in that city, from August 17 to 20, 2023.

This festival aims to stimulate and facilitate meetings between members of the cinematography, promote the exhibition, production and reflection on audiovisual production in our locality, generate zonal ties, and present films of all genres, accompanied by their representatives, to
contribute to the development of culture and the progress and dissemination of the audiovisual industry.

The following prizes will be awarded:

Best Short Film

ARTICLE 1
The Second Pila Audiovisual Festival (FAP) produced by the Municipality of Pila, under the organization of the "Padre Adolfo Anastasio" Municipal Cinema Theater, will take place in person in said city, from August 17 to 20, 2023.
This festival aims to stimulate and facilitate meetings between members of the cinematography, promote the exhibition, production and reflection on audiovisual production in our town, generate zonal ties, and present films of all genres, accompanied by their representatives, to contribute to the development of culture and the progress and diffusion of the audiovisual industry.

ARTICLE 2
Film registration in all categories is free and is open to short film productions, national and international, of all genres.
The productions may not be prior to the year 2020. Accepting the films made from the year 2020 inclusive onwards.
Those films that are directly linked to a member of the Festival Selection Committee will not be able to participate competitively.
The works will have time to register until July 28, 2023.

ARTICLE 3
The 2nd edition of the FAP will have a single Competition section, which will be Short Films, leaving the division into categories at the discretion of the organization if the number of entries warrants it.

ARTICLE 4
To submit a film to the Festival selection, it is necessary to complete the steps detailed below:

a) Complete the Registration Form (request it and send it completed to festivalaudiovisualpila@gmail.com)

b) Send a download link to festivalaudiovisualpila@gmail.com whose password, if you have one, must be valid until August 22, 2023. The links of the registered films must necessarily have the download option to be viewed by the Festival Selection Committee. A maximum of 2GB is recommended. Its use will be strictly internal.

Registration in progress ends on July 28, 2023.

4.1. This registration is open to all audiovisual creators over 18 years of age, if they are not, they must be endorsed by an adult.
4.2. Short films may not exceed 30 (thirty) minutes, including credits.
4.3. The films will be presented in the original language. If the film is not Spanish-speaking, it must be exclusively subtitled.
4.4. The works may have been originally made in any format.
4.5. Up to 2 works per audiovisual creator will be accepted.
The Festival office is located at Calle San Martín 867, Pila, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina; Phone (542241) 15-499506. This information is disclosed for the purposes that may correspond, leaving it expressly clarified that the entire registration process will be exclusively online.

ARTICLE 5
The list of selected works will be announced on August 4, 2023 by the official social networks of the Cine Teatro Municipal Pila and privately to the contact email of the work.
Once the Festival has communicated the selection of a film and received a confirmation email from the producer or his representative in accordance with participation in the FAP, it cannot be withdrawn. Your producer or designated representative must submit the film and promotional materials requested before the deadline, as indicated in these Regulations. These materials will be used for the catalogue, the website, the press, publicity and dissemination of the film's participation in the Festival.
5.1. The selected participants must send by mail 3 images for the catalog (minimum quality 300 dpi.jpg format), 300 dpi quality poster image, trailer, synopsis and technical sheet of the work.
5.2. The projection at the Festival will be in DCP format. Therefore, the copy of the selected film can be delivered in DCP format to the address indicated by the Festival organization, or for its subsequent transfer, VIDEO WITH AUDIO – 1920 x 1080 – H.264. or failing that, with the link obtained in the participation as long as it respects the requested technical requirements. The presentation in other formats requires the authorization of the Festival.

ARTICLE 6º
6.1. The jury in charge of the competition will be made up of national cultural personalities, who will be in charge of choosing the winning short film(s).
6.2. The Festival authorities may be present during the deliberations of the Jury, but they will not be part of them nor will they have any vote.
6. 3. Whoever has any type of interest in the production or exploitation of a film in competition may not be a jury.
6. 4. The votes of the Jury will be secret. The members of the Jury firmly undertake not to publicly express their opinions regarding the films submitted for their consideration before the official announcement of the awards.
6.5. The decisions made by the jury will be final.

ARTICLE 7º
7.1. The following prizes will be awarded:

for Best Short Film;
7.2. In the case of generating different categories, the Best Short Film in its category will also be awarded.
The categories, if any, would be:
-Documentary film
-Fiction
-Video clip
-Animation

7.3. The Jury may award up to 2 (two) Special Mentions, indicating the motivation that makes those who obtain them deserving of these mentions.

7.4. The Jury may award Special Mentions to different disciplines if it considers it: such as Best Actor/Actress, Best Production, Best Screenplay, etc.

7.5. The Audience Award will also be awarded.
7.6. The prize cannot be vacant.
7.7. All films included will receive a Certificate of Participation. Those who are winners, in addition to said certificate, will receive a statuette and a recognition diploma.
In addition, for the winner, there will be an economic prize that will be detailed closer to the festival date.

ARTICLE 9º
Once the confirmation email has been sent, the film cannot be withdrawn from the FAP, so the final programming will proceed.

9.1. The producers and distributors of those films that make up the Competitions undertake to include the phrase “Official Selection of the Pila Audiovisual Festival” in all their advertising and press material, using the Festival logo.

9.2. The producers and distributors of those films that win awards undertake to highlight them in all their advertising and press material, using the Festival logo.

9.3. This logo can be requested from festivalaudiovisualpila@gmail.com

9.4. Any prize awarded that is not received at the Closing Ceremony may be withdrawn at the Festival offices, (or where and as indicated according to the circumstances), up to six months after the end of the event.

ARTICLE 10º
The audiovisual creators accept that the FAP has the material for its projection, publicity and promotion of the festival.

ARTICLE 11
The material sent to the FAP for the purpose of applying for selection will remain in the possession of the organization and will form part of the Festival's video library.
