Barcelona Queer Film Festival is a Queer Film Festival (LGTBIQ+) that runs its second edition in Barcelona, Spain. There will also be activities related to Queer literature and Art the days before the festival.
The festival screenings will take place on November 28, 29 and 30 2025 at the Cinema Maldà in Barcelona.

FICTION FEATURE FILM. With 1 honorary award.

DOCUMENTARY FEATURE FILM. With 1 honorary award.

FICTION OR DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILM. With 1 honorary award.

MUSIC VIDEO CLIP. With 1 honorary award.

The festival will accept films of all nationalities. If they are in a language other than Spanish, the films must be subtitled in Spanish (or at least in english).
For the music video category, subtitles will not be necessary.

The films and music videos must have been made between 2020 and 2025. They do not have to be unreleased in Spain. Work in progress will not be accepted.

All audiovisual pieces must have an EXCLUSIVELY LGTBIQ+ theme and all genres will be accepted, with the categories that enter the competition being the following:

FICTION FEATURE FILM.
DOCUMENTARY FEATURE FILM.
FICTION OR DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILM.
MUSIC VIDEO CLIP.

The deadline for submission of films, short films and music videos will end on September 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Central European summer time +2h.

The festival will inform the selected films of their participation on October 1, 2025.

Selected films must send the following to the Festival:

The film, short or video clip only in digital files: MP4 H.264, MOV, minimum resolution FULL HD (1920 x 1080)
If there are subtitles, they must be embedded.

High quality photographs, press kit and movie poster.


A trailer in digital format: MP4 H.264, MOV, minimum resolution FULL HD (1920 x 1080)
If there are subtitles, they must be embedded.
A registration form that must be returned signed.

The maximum delivery date of the selected film and all the aforementioned material will be OCTOBER 15 2025.


If you have not received these files and information before the indicated date (OCTOBER 15 2025), the Festival may reject your participation.

Participants are responsible for the copyright of their works.

The Festival may be rescheduled in case of unforeseen incidents.

Participation implies full acceptance of these Regulations.
