Accreditation

Article 1 – Purpose of the Festival

The “Cinécl’R” Festival aims to highlight the talents of directors in short formats, to encourage meetings between the different actors in the cinema and audiovisual sector and to offer the opportunity to disseminate their big screen production.

Article 2 - Dates

The first edition of the “Cinécl’R” Festival, organized by the Ecole du Comédien in partnership with the Opéraims cinema, will take place in Reims from March 5th to 7th, 2025.

Article 3 - Eligibility

To compete at the “Cinécl’R” Festival, films must meet the following conditions:

· Have been completed in the 12 months preceding the Festival (between February 2024 and January 2025).

· For foreign short films: have not participated in any festival (whether in competition or out of competition) outside their country of origin.

· Not have been broadcast on the internet or on television, nor commercially exploited.

· Do not exceed 20 minutes

Article 4 - Selection committees

The films are selected by a committee. The members of the committee are all audiovisual and cinema professionals.

Article 5 - Registration fees

Each film or short film registration must be accompanied by payment corresponding to administrative costs. The film will only be viewed once registration fees have been paid. Registration fees are non-refundable and are mandatory for all registrations. Registration fees must be paid by credit card during online registration and amount to 10 euros including tax.

Article 6 - Validation of registration

The registration of a film will be validated once the film has been recorded on our website (www.cineclr-festival.org), the production file has been submitted and the registration fees have been paid. The selection committee reserves the right to refuse any film that has not completed all stages of the registration procedure. Videos or links sent without the films being registered will not be taken into consideration.

Article 7 - Application deadlines

Registration of short films:

➢ The deadline for registration and downloading of short films is January 31, 2025. NB: films are uploaded during online registration.

Article 8 - Projection supports

The short films are uploaded to the “Cinécl’R” Festival website during the registration process. Any short film sent on another viewing medium will not be considered by the selection committee.

Article 9 - Copy insurance / pre-selection and selection

The costs of transport, temporary admission and insurance of the copies as well as the intervention costs of the forwarder, from the country of origin to Reims and return, and, in the event of selection, from Reims and return, will be the responsibility of the responsibility of the producers. Under no circumstances will the “Cinécl’R” Festival cover any transport whatsoever. It is up to the rights holder of the film to ensure that they are able to pay the transport costs for the pre-selections and then in the event of selection in Reims. Only the costs of storage and insurance of copies within the cinemas where the screenings of the “Cinécl’R” Festival will take place are covered.

Article 10 - Copies of selected films

Films selected in competition in Reims must be presented digitally on physical DCP (1 copy).

Films in foreign languages, including english, must have French subtitles on the image, projected under the screen. The subtitling of films is the responsibility of the rights holders.

Article 11 - Programming

The dates, locations and screening times of the selected films will be communicated to the teams at the beginning of February 2025.

Article 12 - Jury & prizes

The “Cinécl’R” Festival Jury will award its Official prizes to the short films in competition.

Article 13 - Promotional material

The films selected by the “Cinécl'R” Festival undertake to display on all promotional materials (posters, press kits, trailers, teasers, and copies of the films) the logo of the “Cinécl'R” Festival corresponding to the selection of the film and its programming in Reims (Selection, Opening, Closing). Films awarded prizes during the “Cinécl’R” Festival will be required to replace the generic Festival logo with the logo of the corresponding Prize.

Article 14 – Complex situation

In the event of a dispute, exception or situation not provided for in these regulations, the “Cinécl’R” Festival reserves the right to decide.

Article 15 - Responsibility of the organizers

The “Cinécl'R” Festival reserves the right to use the information collected on the registration forms in accordance with the terms and conditions provided for by law 78.17 of January 6, 1978 (In accordance with the Data Protection Act, any participant has a right of access and rectification only to personal data concerning him).

The “Cinécl’R” Festival declines all responsibility in the event of poor reception or non-receipt of registration files transmitted by any means whatsoever, and whatever the reason. The organizer and its partner, the Opéraims cinema reserve the right to interrupt, delete, postpone the event or modify these regulations, at any time, depending on the requirements of its operation. No compensation of any kind whatsoever may be granted to participants.

Article 16 - Acceptance

Participation in the “Cinécl’R” Festival implies acceptance of these regulations. For any information regarding registrations, please contact the Film Office
