Festival start: 21 November 2025      Festival end: 23 November 2025

The SamhainBaucogna International Film Festival provides a unique space for both new and experienced filmmakers to showcase their films to an international audience. The Grand Finale with Awards Ceremony will take place from November 21 to 23, 2025, at the Darna Theater in Tangier, Morocco.

The goal is to support filmmakers worldwide by offering them a platform to compete in an International Festival, garnering visibility through social and other media, and seeking to build bridges with the distribution sector. Simultaneously, the Festival aims to enhance regions with limited Festival and cinema offerings by promoting accessibility for all through free entry to screenings, beyond economic means.

The Finalist Films will be evaluated by an International Jury made up of journalists, university professors, critics and recognized artists.

The SamhainBaucogna International Film Festival is competitive, and winning films in the final phase in Tangier will receive trophies and certificates as prizes. Additionally, finalists will be interviewed through our various social channels in-person or via online connection.

To participate in the Festival, it is necessary to carefully read the announcement, rules, and conditions published here.

2) Submissions will be accepted exclusively through Festhome, from December 1, 2024, until September 30, 2025, with the corresponding entry fee. We accept works produced from 2021 onwards.

3) There is no limit to the number of films a director can submit. However, each film can be submitted only once per category.

4) Works can be submitted in any language, but if selected, they must have mandatory English subtitles. Subtitles in Spanish, Italian, and French are optional but encouraged.

5) All applicants must fill out the official form required by the registration platforms, clearly and accurately, as this will be the data used and published by the Festival. SamhainBaucogna International Film Festival (SBIFest) reserves the right to disqualify any film not submitted through these websites without refund of the registration fees.It is not the Festival's responsibility to decipher how your names are written; it is your responsibility to enter them correctly and clearly on the registration platforms. It is also not the Festival's duty to obtain posters and images of your works; providing appropriate documentation for a Film Festival is your responsibility.

6) All submissions are final. No refunds are provided.

7) Works previously submitted or presented in past editions cannot be resubmitted and will be considered ineligible for the Festival.

8) The film remains the property of the author.

9) By submitting the film to the festival, you agree to allow the screening of your film (or other artistic works) during the festival's run, for which you are submitting, at no cost to the festival. All media selected by the festival will be asked to provide promotional materials.

It is the responsibility of the director or sender to ensure the functionality of this material, not the Festival's, within the timeframe specified once the selection is officially announced. All materials must be fully functional at the time of screening, and it is the director’s or sender's responsibility to test or verify their functionality before sending them to the Festival. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the disqualification of the film from the Festival, even on the scheduled day of screening.

13) The Festival Committee reserves the right to reject films if the content or technical quality does not meet the festival conditions, with no refund.

14) The festival reserves the right to disqualify any submission at any time if there are doubts about ownership, copyright infringement, or signs of disrespect (in any form of media) towards the festival or its representatives, with no refund.

15) Applicants acknowledge that SBIFest reserves the right to change the nature of screenings and events due to circumstances related to public health or well-being or at the direction of local, state, or federal authorities. In such cases, no refunds will be issued for presentations.

16) During the final event, which will take place in Tangier on November 21, 22, and 23, 2025, if certain categories do not meet the minimum number of entries required to ensure a fair competition, those categories may be canceled. In this case, films selected for that category will be automatically transferred to another category, ensuring no film is excluded from the Festival.

17) Furthermore, films already competing in a specific category may, at the Festival's discretion, also be entered into additional categories without any additional cost to the filmmaker.

18) The judgment of the selection and final juries is final and unappealable.

19) The films selected for the final will be part of our annual event, during which the works will be screened in front of a live audience at the Darna Theater in Tangier, Morocco, on November 21-22-23, 2025, concluding with the Awards Ceremony where our custom trophies will be presented to the winners. By registering through Festhome, films will be selected exclusively to be part of the Tangier final.

20) By submitting a work (film, short film, feature film, or other) to the SamhainBaucogna International Film Festival (SBIFest), you affirm that you have read and accepted every point of the regulations and rules of the Festival.

21) Upon registering for this film festival, it is important to be aware that providing your email address implies the possibility of using it for future promotional campaigns, without the need for prior notice or additional consent.
