The cultural section of the Pro Loco of Trezzano Sul Naviglio announces, in collaboration with the culture association IVenticinque, the Municipality and the Library of Trezzano sul Naviglio, the third edition of the international competition dedicated to Noir short films "Appointment in Black".

The competition is divided into a single noir / crime / crime / thriller, spy-story, psychological mystery, noir and all their sub-genres (historical, scientific, technological, etc.) short films section.

Geldpreise: 550€

The first 3 finalists will be awarded; the prizes were defined as follows:

• 1st place € 300 in check and trophy;

• 2nd place € 150 in check and cup;

• 3rd place € 100 in check and plaque.
While from 4th place to 10th only the parchment.

The trophy, a unique work, will be made by the master and artist Pietro De Seta.

The prizes must be collected personally (money, trophy, any plaques) during the evening of the award ceremony or afterwards. Only strictly special cases and, upon written advance to the Competition Secretariat, the winners will be able to send a trusted person (with proxy signed and autographed by the delegator and correlated with the delegate's identity document) to collect the prize. The prizes that will not be collected will constitute the "prize fund" for subsequent editions.

In no case will the prizes be sent by post / courier

The competition will have the following participation times:

from 01 September to 31 December; the date of receipt of the e-mail with the registration / upload form on the online platform will be valid.

The "short" must be ascribable to the noir / crime / thriller / thriller genre

Registration for the competition is open to authors:

• of both sexes;
• of any nationality;
• under the age of 16 (with the authorization to participate in the competition is made by a parent / guardian) -

Short films in Italian and non-Italian can participate, but the latter must necessarily be subtitled in Italian.

• The short must have a maximum duration of 25 minutes;

• You can participate in the competition section with only one work.

• Each participant is free to carry out the work with any kind of artistic expression.

In order to participate, the competitors must pay a participation fee of € 10.00 (ten / 00 EURO - corresponding to the annual membership fee to the Pro Loco).

• The commission reserves the right to exclude a work from the festival if it is excessively vulgar and / or offensive to a race, culture, sexual orientation, religious or political nature. Likewise, any work that does not comply with the following regulations will be excluded.

• The works sent must not, under penalty of exclusion, contain advertising or industrial or promotional messages.

To submit the films for selection, the Participants must upload the short film on this platform and fill in the "Registration Form" on homepage on the site in its entirety (https://prolocotrezzanosn.it/cortometraggi/).

The directors selected as finalists will be notified by phone call, email and / or letter at least 15 days before the date of the award ceremony (organized for May 2025). There is no written communication for those who do not appear among the 10 selected.

The films of the three winners and any special prizes could be screened during the awards ceremony. For this reason, the selected directors / authors must also be able to provide a trailer of the short film (preferably in .mp4 or .mov format with h264 encoding) of a maximum duration of 3 minutes. The shorts will have to send via online sharing services (for example Wetransfer, Dropbox, etc.), using as email prolocotrezzano@gmail.com.

There are no hotel and travel expenses reimbursements for the winners. Participants, who deem it appropriate, will be able to stay overnight at an accommodation facility that may have an agreement with the organization of the competition.

All participants will, however, be able to consult the list of winners which will be published:
