Alexandria Cinema Days is an independent annual film festival held in the city of Alexandria, Egypt.

The festival aims to create an inspiring and competitive environment for filmmakers from all over the world, encouraging cinematic creativity in all its forms.

It seeks to highlight new cinematic voices and support emerging talents in narrative, documentary, and animation filmmaking — both short and feature-length — through a platform that promotes cultural exchange and artistic dialogue.

The festival honors outstanding works that reflect human experience and social realities through innovative and expressive storytelling.

1- Feature Film Competition:

- Alexander the Great Gold Award for Best Feature Film.

- Alexander the Great Silver Award for Second Best Feature Film.

- Special Jury Prize.

- Best Director Award.

- Best Screenplay Award.

2- Short Film Competition:

- Alexander the Great Gold Award for Best Short Film.

3- International Feature Documentary Competition:

- Alexander the Great Gold Award for Best Documentary Film.

- Alexander the Great Silver Award for Second Best Documentary Film.

- Special Jury Prize - Documentary Film Section.

- Best Cinematography Award - Documentary Film

4 - Animation Film Competition:

- Alexander the Great Gold Award for Best Animated Film

5 - Special Festival Awards:

Awarded to a filmmaker or artist whose work has made a significant contribution to the development of independent cinema.

Chosen by audience vote from all festival screenings.

الشروط العامة للمهرجان :
١. يجب أن تكون الأفلام مكتملة بعد يناير ٢٠٢٣.

٢. الأفلام بأي لغة مرحب بها، ولكن الترجمة الإنجليزية إلزامية (بما في ذلك الأفلام العربية).

٣. الحد الأقصى لمدة الأفلام القصيرة هو ٣٠ دقيقة (ما لم يُنص على خلاف ذلك).

٤. يجب أن يمتلك مقدم الطلب جميع الحقوق أو أن يكون لديه الأذونات اللازمة.

٥. يحتفظ المهرجان بحق استخدام مقتطفات أو صور ثابتة لأغراض ترويجية فقط.

٦. لن يدفع المهرجان رسوم عرض للأفلام المختارة.

٧. بتقديم فيلمك، فإنك توافق على شروط وأحكام المهرجان.

General Festival Terms and Conditions :

1. Films must be completed after January 2023.

2. Films in any language are welcome, but english subtitles are mandatory (including Arabic films).

3. The maximum length for short films is 30 minutes (unless otherwise stated).

4. The applicant must own all rights or have the necessary permissions.

5. The festival reserves the right to use excerpts or still images for promotional purposes only.

6. The festival will not charge screening fees for selected films.

7. By submitting your film, you agree to the festival's terms and conditions.
