Alicante Smartphone Film Festival – Rules & Regulations

The festival will take place in Alicante from December 9 to 13, 2025.

Only short films produced exclusively with a smartphone will be accepted.

Both national and international short films are eligible to participate.

The theme is open to all genres and subjects.

The submission deadline is November 15, 2025. There is no limit to the number of short films submitted by the same participant.

The maximum duration of each short film must not exceed 10 minutes.

All submitted short films must be shot with a smartphone, specifying brand and model. Post-production editing and image treatment using any editing software is allowed.

All people or private spaces appearing in the films must have given their consent. The festival will not accept any short films that are offensive to any group, contain discriminatory content, or violate human dignity.

Short films must be original works by the submitting author(s).

The accepted video formats are AVI or MP4.

There is no age limit to participate; however, participants under the age of 18 must include a signed parental or legal guardian authorization along with their entry form.

Short films with original dialogue not in Spanish must include Spanish subtitles.

The submission period runs from July 20 to November 15, 2025. Films submitted after this date will not be considered for the current edition of the festival.

The decisions of the Official Jury are final. Awards will be presented during the closing ceremony on December 13, 2025.

Participation implies full acceptance of these rules.
