BCIFF has the objective to offer a platform to promote the new talent, and professional Talent of the film and entertainment industries.

BCIFF is constructing a space in which the creators can present their proposals in a competitive environment displaying their works to an audience and the professionals involved in the industry.

As well as the chance to show their works to the investors in the industry.

This festivals objective is to create positive alliances with México, The United States of America and the rest of the world to which are lovers of the seventh art.

We are in Tijuana Baja California the busiest border in the world and our goal with this binational festival is to strengthen teamwork between the two borders.

1. Baja California International Film Festival (BCIFF), the official international Film Festival in the Baja California Norte area, takes place in Tijuana as the main venue and with different activities from the border to Guerrero Negro, it is a forum to promote the young talents who produce film or audiovisual projects, as well as promote professional, cultural and commercial film productions. In the same way, it collaborates with the promotion and diffusion of the cultural, economic, investment and tourist activities of the State of Baja California.


2. Films in and out of competition will be chosen by a selection committee, whose decision is final.


SELECTED JOBS


1.The selected works will be announced by email.


2.Once selected, the film cannot be withdrawn from the BCIFF programming.


3. All works in competition must be subtitled in Spanish. In the case of works whose original language is Spanish, a screening copy with English subtitles is requested. The works in competition must be subtitled in English and / or Spanish when they are in both languages.


4. The director and / or producer of the selected work agrees to exhibit it in 2021 in Baja California.


5.The selected works may be part of national and international samples in which the BCIFF participates during 2021 and 2022.


6.To participate in the BCIFF, the directors and / or producers of the selected works agree to deliver:


6.1. Final copy of the selected works in all sections on Blu Ray or HD downloadable file, no later than June 14, 2021.


7. The BCIFF reserves the right to use a maximum of one minute of the selected works strictly for promotional purposes, including (but not limited to) television and internet broadcasts.


8. The films in competition in the 4th edition of the Baja California International Film Festival will have a diffusion and press work specially designed for them by the BCIFF, so that during the festival, trips or press instances outside the festival are not authorized.


SHIPPING AND RETURN OF MATERIALS


1.The transport costs of the copy or video, as well as their insurance, will be borne by the participant until they arrive at the festival offices. The festival organization, for its part, will take care of the insurance of the copies from the moment they arrive at their offices and until the moment they are returned.


2. The selected copies must be delivered to the following address:

3.If you send your work by courier, please state "For film festival screening, no commercial value, for cultural purposes only." The festival will not pay the taxes that this shipment could generate.


4. The BCIFF will not be responsible for damage or loss of materials during shipment.


5.The BCIFF does not cover the cost of return.


ACCREDITATIONS


1.The BCIFF grants accreditations only to those who actively participate in the festival's program and events: filmmakers, special guests, press, film distributors and sponsors.


2.The accreditations have validity dates, are established from the category of the participant and are set by the festival without the possibility of changes.


3.The accreditations will be delivered personally and with official identification.


4.The accreditations are personal and non-transferable. In case of irregularities they will be canceled.
