When Worlds Meet

Lapinha da Serra is a small district, full of charm, nestled in the Serra do Cipó region. Illustrated not only for its landscapes and waterfalls, but above all for the Lapinhô people, who welcome visitors in a unique way, making the small district of 600 inhabitants one of those unique places that mix tradition and receptivity to novelty.

It is by recognizing this quality of Lapinha that we invite the filmmakers to weave with us the curatorial line of the 2nd CineLapinhô Exhibition around the theme "When Worlds Meet".

Believing both in the power of cinema in connecting world views, and in our responsibility as agents of culture, we seek to bring to Lapinha and its residents, audiovisual experiences that present encounters between worlds: between cultures, times, realities and ideas; real and imaginary encounters, encounters that make new possible worlds emerge, even if ephemerally.

The films shown will compete for prizes through interactive activities between the public and the curators.

Short national films of up to 30 minutes in length will be selected.

The selection of short films will be the responsibility of the project’s curators;

Films must be freely classified, reaching audiences of all ages, and will be selected based on their relevance to this edition's proposal

The selection result will be announced on July 10, 2024;

Copy for Display

For selected films, technical guidance for exhibition formats and the deadline for sending the copy will be informed via email provided at the time of registration.

General Provisions

The following criteria will be observed for participation in the exhibition:

. The registered and selected work is authorized to be exhibited as an integral part of the program of the event for which it was selected;

. Participants grant the event organization the transmission rights for the films and videos selected to promote the event's program;

. The person responsible for registration declares, at the time of registration, that the producer of the work is the holder of all applicable rights guaranteeing its exhibition
at the Exhibition;

. All elements used in the submitted film do not violate any right to use images or intellectual property of third parties;

. The dates and times for screenings of participating films will be decided by the event curators;

. The event management may remove from the program any film that does not comply with the regulations;

. The registration and participation procedures bind the participant to full acceptance of the proposed regulations.
