CINEMA25 - 4th Córdoba Film Week aims to bring together a broad and varied selection of the best Spanish films released throughout the year, with special attention to films and short films with Andalusian production or participation.
The 4th edition of CINEMA25 will be held from November 21 to 28, 2025.

AWARDS AND JUDGING
A jury composed of industry professionals will select the winning films in the Official Section in its various categories. The "Martín Cañuelo" Audience Award will be decided by the votes of the audience attending the screenings and by a jury composed of representatives of various cultural groups and associations in the city.
The awards will be presented at the Festival's Closing Gala.
Documentaries included in the OFFICIAL Feature Film SECTION will be eligible for the Carmen Award from the Andalusian Film Academy for Best Documentary Feature Film at the next edition of the Carmen Awards, provided they meet the conditions and requirements established in the rules.
1. OFFICIAL Feature Film SECTION
Feature films of all genres that have been produced in Andalusia or have an Andalusian directorial role and have been released on or after April 1, 2025.
All feature films in the Official Section are eligible for the Bronze Fawn for Best Feature Film - Fiction (€3,000), the Bronze Fawn for Best Feature Film - Non-Fiction (€2,000), and the "Martín Cañuelo" Audience Award (no cash prize).
2. OFFICIAL SECTION Short Films
Short films of all genres, Spanish production or co-production, released from October 15, 2024, onwards. Short films in the OFFICIAL SECTION will be eligible for the Bronze Fawn for Best Short Film (€1,500) or the Cinema Córdoba Award (€1,000).
MAIN SECTIONS
Official Feature Film Selection: between 60 and 120 minutes.
Official Short Film Selection: between 5 and 20 minutes.
SUBMISSION CONDITIONS
- All genres are accepted.
- Films selected in the previous edition will not be accepted.
- Each participant may submit as many films as they wish.
- Films must be presented in their original language. If they were filmed in a language other than Spanish, they must have Spanish subtitles embedded in the image.
- The release date for feature films must be April 1, 2025, or later.
- The release date for short films must be October 15, 2024, or later.
IMPORTANT NOTE
FEATURE FILMS
Feature films included in the OFFICIAL SECTION must be produced or co-produced in Andalusia and/or directed by an Andalusian director.
Films cannot have previously been screened at other festivals, exhibitions, film series, or screenings open to the public in the province of Córdoba. If they have been released in theaters, they must have completed their commercial run prior to the event.
Attendance at the screening by the director or one of the film's main actors is mandatory. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the film remaining in the program but will be excluded from competitive participation and will not be eligible for any cash prizes.
Films produced or directed by members of the CINEMA25 team in the current edition will not be included in the festival's competitive sections.
The festival will cover travel to Córdoba and one night's accommodation for one person per film.
A premiere or preview of the film will be considered within the framework of the festival.
If selected, participants agree not to screen their work in the city of Córdoba until one month after the event, unless it is its national theatrical release.
Acceptance of these rules is an essential requirement for selection.
SHORT FILMS
Feature films that are part of the OFFICIAL SECTION must be produced or co-produced by a Spanish director and/or a Spanish director.
Films cannot have previously been screened at other festivals, exhibitions, film series, or screenings open to the public in Córdoba city.
SHORT FILMS competing for the CINEMA CÓRDOBA Award must meet and prove one of the following requirements:
- Have been filmed in whole or in part in the province of Córdoba
- Director or producer from Córdoba
- Production company based in Córdoba
At the appropriate time, the organization may request that the producers of short films competing for the CINEMA CÓRDOBA Award provide the making-of video (in a minimum of 1080p) to be included in the festival summary video.
Attendance at the screening by the director and one of the main actors is mandatory to be programmed in this category and be eligible for the cash prize.
Films produced or directed by members of the CINEMA25 team in the current edition will not be eligible to be part of the festival's competitive sections.
A premiere or preview of the film held within the festival will be considered positively.
If selected, participants agree not to screen their work in the city of Córdoba until one month after the event.
Acceptance of these rules will be an essential requirement for selection.
REGISTRATION METHOD
- To participate, it is mandatory to do so through the FESTHOME online platform, registering the film in the corresponding category.
- The registration period ends on October 10, 2025.
- Registration is free.
- The Organization assumes that the individuals or groups that register their works have the exhibition rights, as well as authorization to receive the award in the case of collective authorship. In any case, the organization disclaims any liability that may arise from infringement of this assumption and from the claim for payment of royalties for public communication or other intellectual property rights.
SELECTION
A selection committee, made up of industry professionals and members of the organization, will be responsible for selecting the films that will be included in the program.
The organization may supplement the festival program with films other than those received through this call if it deems it appropriate. Decisions will be communicated starting October 24, 2025, by email and subsequently published on the official CINEMA25 - IV Film Week website: www.cinemacordoba.com.
Selected films must be submitted for screening by November 7, 2025, in a file with an H.264 codec extension, with a bitrate between 30 Mbps and 50 Mbps (progressive), and a minimum resolution of 1080p. If a downloadable copy is not available through FESTHOME, the organization will request one by email.
Along with the selected film, the following information must be attached to the email address "sessions@cinemacordoba.com":
- Two frames from the film in digital format (300 dpi, JPG, and no larger than 1 MB)
- Film poster (300 dpi, JPG, and no larger than 1 MB)
- Technical information (genre, director, screenwriter, etc.)
- Short synopsis (max. 100 words)
Films that are part of the OFFICIAL SECTION are eligible for the following awards:
FEATURE FILMS
- Bronze Cervatillo for Best Feature Film - Fiction (worth €3,000)
- Bronze Cervatillo for Best Feature Film - Non-Fiction (worth €2,000)
- "Martín Cañuelo" Audience Award (no cash prize)
SHORT FILMS
- Bronze Cervatillo for Best Feature Film - Fiction Short Film (€1,500)
- Cinema Córdoba Award (€1,000)
If awarded, the film creators must be present at the Festival's Closing Gala, which will take place on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Góngora Theater. The recipient must be the director, producer, or one of the main actors. The Festival will provide travel and accommodation for one person per film.
Participants authorize the Organization to use stills, photographs, and excerpts from the films, as well as any material provided to the organization for dissemination in any communication and promotional medium, in order to promote and disseminate this Festival. Documentation and material submitted for the selected films may appear in all advertising and promotional media for the event.
PRIZE RECIPIENTS AND PAYMENT METHOD
- The prizes will be paid to the person or producer listed on the registration form.
- Payment of prizes will be made by bank transfer upon presentation of an invoice, where applicable. Prizes are subject to applicable tax regulations.
AUTHORIZATION FOR USE
The producers of the selected films included in the program grant RECORD: Professional Film and Audiovisual Association of Córdoba (the association responsible for organizing the event) permission to use them for screening during the festival for cultural and non-profit purposes.
CONSENT AND PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Participants consent to the processing of their personal data contained in their application form under the responsibility of the RECORD Association for the purpose of managing registrations for activities and events, based on the legitimacy of consent, legal obligation, and public interest.
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, and portability by proving your identity by writing an email to sessions@cinemacordoba.com indicating "Exercise access rights" in the subject line. Failure to do so will result in ineligibility for participation in the competition.
ACCEPTANCE OF RULES
Participation in this competition implies full acceptance of these rules, as well as the decisions of the organizers and the jury. Failure to comply will result in disqualification. The final interpretation of these rules rests with the organizers.
