After a successful first edition, the Denys Film Festival returns for its second edition, celebrating creativity, boldness, and cinematic discovery. This annual event honors young talents in international cinema, bringing together filmmakers, actors, and film enthusiasts for two days of screenings, discussions, and encounters in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The festival is dedicated to fiction short films that push the boundaries of storytelling and form. We proudly showcase the work of independent filmmakers with unique and visionary perspectives. Our mission is to offer a platform for emerging voices and give audiences the opportunity to discover innovative films that explore deep and thought-provoking themes.

1. **Eligibility**

Participation is open to all filmmakers over the age of 18.

Submitted films must be short films, either fiction or documentary, with a maximum duration of 20 minutes.

Only films produced after September 1, 2024, are eligible.

2. **Competition Categories**

Films may compete in the following categories:

Best Drama
Best Comedy
Best Actor & Actress
Best Horror Film
Best Queer Film
Best Documentary
Best International Film

3. **Format and Submission of Films**

Films must be submitted in digital format (.MP4) via the Festhome platform or by email to denysfilmfestival@gmail.com.

Participants are encouraged to provide an official poster for the film as well as presentation documentation, if available.

4. **Rights and Permissions**

By submitting a film, the participant declares that they hold all necessary copyrights and permissions for the public screening of the work.

The festival reserves the right to screen the submitted film during the festival and to use excerpts (up to 30 seconds) for promotional purposes.

5. **Prohibition of Discriminatory and Pornographic Content**

The film festival is committed to promoting diversity and respect for all communities.

Consequently, submitted films must not contain antisemitic, racist, homophobic, or any other hate speech. Additionally, the submission of pornographic films is strictly prohibited. Any work conveying discriminatory messages or inciting violence, as well as those containing pornographic elements, will be disqualified.

The festival reserves the right to reject films that do not uphold these fundamental values to ensure an inclusive and respectful environment for all.

6. **Selection and Notification**

Films will be evaluated by a jury composed of film professionals.

Participants will be notified by email regarding the selection of their film for the festival before October 15, 2026.

7. **Screening and awards**

Selected films will be screened at the festival on Saturday, November 13, 2026.

Winners will receive their awards at the end of the awards ceremony. No exchanges or substitutions of prizes will be allowed.

8. **Participants' Responsibilities**

Participants agree to assume full responsibility for copyright, distribution, and any claims related to their work.

9. **Modifications and Cancellation**

The festival reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions or to cancel the screening of a film in cases of force majeure or violations of the regulations.

10. **Acceptance of Conditions**

By submitting a film, the participant accepts all of the above terms and conditions.

  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
