The FAM 2020 – 24th Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosur, Festival and Forum focused on audiovisual integration in Mercosur, is a space for public formation, dissemination of regional production and meeting of professionals in the sector. This regulation has as object the competitive shows that make up the Festival, formed by selection regime with open call to the public, as well as facilitating the communication channel for the curatorship of non-competitive shows.
Cash Prizes: 43,000$
They will be awarded by the Popular Jury in the category Best Film all competitive shows.
The feature film shows will be awarded by a special jury.
Private companies and supporting institutions may award special prizes to audiovisual works.
The award will be a Panvision Trophy, awarded to the winners, in their respective categories and may do so at their own discretion, with the prior consent of the coordination of the FAM. Historically supporting companies award trophies and prizes in service.
This edition has reduced categories of awards, given the world economic and public health framework. The FAM in its last edition had 33 categories of awards, 18 judges and more than R $ 230,000.00 (two hundred and thirty thousand reais) in specialized services awards.
For each selected work the festival will accredit up to 2 representatives of the films.
1. PURPOSE
The FAM 2020 – 24th Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosur, Festival and Forum focused on audiovisual integration in Mercosur, is a space for public formation, dissemination of regional production and meeting of professionals in the sector. The purpose of this regulation is to show the character of the Festival, formed by a selection regime with open call to the public, as well as facilitating the communication channel for the curatorship of non-competitive shows.

3. DATE AND PLACE OF REALIZATION
The FAM 2020 will be held from September 24 to September 30, 2020, in the city of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina.
4. CATEGORIES
The films are entered in the festival and designated by the curatorship among the categories of shows:
4.1. SHORT
Films already finished, genre free.
a) MERCOSUR: maximum duration of 20 minutes, free theme.
b) CATARINENSE: maximum duration of 20 minutes, free theme; Production company of Santa Catarina.
c) INFANTOJUVENIL: maximum duration of 15 minutes, a theme consistent with the public.
4.2 MUSIC VIDEO: free theme, in which an authorial music is the central factor of the work, with the end of
dissemination of music. It is mandatory for the director, if not the author of the song and lyrics, to have the
authorisation of them.
4.3. LONG
Work-in-progress, category linked to mercosur co-production meeting - ECM -, event
carried out during the MAM 2020 – with its own regulation and schedule.
Free theme, duration over 70 minutes.
a) DOC-FAM - Documentary.
b) Long Mercosur - Fiction.
4.4 THEMATIC SHOWS: selection and creation of thematic clippings in charge of the festival's management.
5. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION
I. Audiovisual productions that have been entered at this festival in previous editions, in any of the shows, will not be accepted.
II. Audiovisual productions must be finalised or post-production at the time of registration, unless work-in-progress is linked to the ECM, with its own regulation.
III. Films that meet the following conditions will be accepted, in addition to the criteria of each show:
5.a. GEOGRAPHICAL ORIGIN OF PRODUCTION:
Productions or co-productions made by natural or settled producers and/or directors in the Mercosur States Parties (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela and Bolivia) and their Spanish-speaking associates (Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru).
5.b. DATE OF COMPLETION:
Films finished from 2019.
5.c. OF THE INEDITISM:
50% of the selection vacancies will be reserved for long ones with national novelty. 80% of the vacancies of Mostra Curtas Catarinense will be reserved for Regional novelty, being 25% for premier. Regional novelty is desirable in all shows, and may be a criterion for
according to the composition of the registered works and designated exhibition.
5.d. REGISTRATION PERIOD:
They are free exclusive ly by the official website of fam www.famdetodos.com.br from the moment of registration opening until June 10, 2020 at 22 hours - Brasilia time.

Portuguese legend (for unspoken speech in Portuguese); Desirable LSE and other resources of
Accessibility.
Long Mercosur Exempt Legend in Portuguese (for speeches not spoken in Portuguese);
Desirable LSE and other accessibility features.
The LSE (legend for deaf and deafened) is mandatory for short film competition. The LSE must have marking of the characters, important sounds for the plot among other specifications.
It is possible to follow lse production guidelines in the Guide for Accessible Audiovisual Productions, published by the Ministry of Culture.
TECHNICAL DATA: The lists of dialogue and subtitles must match the filmwork and the spelling according to the linguistic purposes, configuring the quality of the material.
5.f. SELECTION COPY:
Entries must be accompanied by the insertion of a link for viewing the full movie, in its final cut version, and may be in the process of editing sound, colorization and mixing, to be hosted on the video sharing site VIMEO, password protected, or YouTube not listed. The insertion of caption or not in the selection copy will already be driving criterion to the niche of the selection show.
5.g. INDICATIVE CLASSIFICATION:
It is not mandatory to have indicative classification measured by the Ministry of Justice, Department of Justice, Classification, Titles and Qualification (Dejus). Therefore, it will not be a criterion of disqualification, but may be a tiebreaker.
The organization of the festival continues to defend the importance of guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents, as well as safeguarding directors and exhibitors in the space of dialogue with the public. It is desirable that the works have the prior indicative classification requested by the director. The organization of the festival reserves the right to request such measurement directly from the Ministry of Justice, if it deems it appropriate.
6. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
6.a. INSCRIPTION:
Only online registrationwill be accepted, with registration in the FAM Registration System through the website www.famdetodos.com.br and www.festhome.com until June 10, 2020 at 22 hours - Brasilia time.
6.b. CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION:
Registration will be confirmed (accepted), via the FAM Registration System, upon receipt of the requested items. Until then, they will remain with status "under review".
The confirmation (status "accepted") in the FAM Registration System refers to the receipt, conference and acceptance of the registration in the selected category, not implying the selection of the work.
6.c. CONFIRMATION OF SELECTION:
The announcement on the selection of the work will be sent directly to the e-mail informed in the registration form at the appropriate time of disclosure, until July 24, 2020.
7. SELECTION
The selection of the audiovisual works entered will be carried out by a committee appointed by the organization of the FAM, which will use as a criterion the technical and artistic quality of the films, from the perspective of each selector. The final curatorship of the artistic direction of the festival will be responsible for the artistic direction of the festival. Only 1 (one) work per Director per show will be selected. There will be no appeal or clarification on the
decision of the selection committee.
The films selected for the Competition of the Mostra Longas Mercosul will receive as remuneration for the display 50% of the value of the sale of tickets for the specific session of your film. Those responsible for the selected films must issue an invoice for this amount upon request of the festival coordination. Payment will be made until March 31, 2021 and only invoices from Brazilian companies will be accepted to receive the display awards.
8. POST-SELECTION/COPY DISPLAY
All audiovisual works selected must have a digital copy of the work submitted up to 15 days after disclosure of the selected, under penalty of disqualification, as described below.
Being a media for collection and a display media.
The format of the digital file for collection must be impossibly .mov Quicktime or Mp4, codec h264, 1080p, with separate caption file.
The display format will be Open DCP, dolby sound 5.1, with the following channels: 1-L; 2-R; 3-C; 4SW; 5-SL; 6SR. to be sent directly to the finalizing company, for media quality control purposes. The submission is the responsibility of the selected, being made directly to the company indicated in the selected work instructions email.
Directors and producers of short films and feature documentaries can choose to send copies with sound set to 2.0 (STEREO). The media for display
must have already have mirror file of legend in the DCP.
9. OFFICIAL JURY
The specialized jury of awards will be composed of professionals from the audiovisual and related area, previously chosen by the organization, with at least 3 (three) members. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony. The jury's decision is irrevocable.
10. awards
They will be awarded by the Popular Jury in the category Best Film all competitive shows.
The feature film shows will be awarded by a special jury.

11. GENERAL PROVISIONS
All audiovisual works of short films selected will become part of the collection of the Panvision Cultural Association, and may be used strictly for cultural purposes, non-profit, in dissemination initiatives to carry out this association or in partnerships, such as the FAM circuit, of state, federal and international character, without prior notice.
The holder of audiovisual law of the film grants the Panvision Cultural Association the unrestricted right to the manipulation of the audiovisual work for the purposes of grid composition and legend.
Additional photos and graphic material (poster, flyer, folder, etc.) of audiovisual works, for dissemination in the press, will be requested only for those selected.
Registration in the FAM implies the right to the organization to use images, sounds, photos and graphic material related to the work and the director, for dissemination of them in all media.
The organisation of the FAM and/or the selection committee may declassify those audiovisual works which do not comply with the requirements of this Regulation.
The correct completion and veracity of the information in the registration form, as well as the technical quality of any and all material sent are the sole responsibility of the participant.
The completion of the online registration stage in the FAM binds the participant to the full acceptance of this regulation, being fully in accordance with its terms, accepting in full and unrestrictedly all the conditions established herein.
The omitted cases will be solved by the organizing committee of the FAM.
The participant declares that he has read, understood and agrees to the terms of these Regulations.
