The International and Latin American Documentary Film Festival, DOCA 2023 will take place in the cities of Buenos Aires, Catamarca and Tucumán, from June 29 to July 5 in person and virtually

The Festival will award the following prizes:

• Best International Feature Film Award.

• Best Latin American Feature Film Award

• Best National Feature Film Award

• Best National Short Film Award

• 2 Jury Mentions in each category

The International and Latin American Documentary Film Festival, DOCA 2023 will take place from June 29 to July 5 in the cities of Buenos Aires, Catamarca and Tucumán in Argentina.

1-CATEGORIES OF THE COMPETITION

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION: International feature length documentary films (over 60 min) that have been produced and/or released (whatever the medium) between January 2021 and March 2023.
Registration 10 USD

LATIN AMERICAN COMPETITION: Latin American feature length documentary films (over 60 min) that have been produced and/or released (whatever the medium) between January 2021 and March 2023.
Registration 7 USD

NATIONAL COMPETITION: National documentary feature films (over 60 min) that have been produced and/or released (whatever the medium) between January 2021 and March 2023.
Free registration.

INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILM COMPETITION: international documentary feature films (over 10 min?) that have been produced and/or released (whatever the medium) between January 2021 and March 2023.

LATIN AMERICAN AND NATIONAL DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILM COMPETITION Latin American and national documentary short films (up to 25m) that have been produced and/or released (whatever the medium) between January 2021 and March 2023.

2-PRIZES
The Festival will award the following prizes:
• Best International Feature Film Award.
• Best Latin American Feature Film Award
• Best National Feature Film Award
• Best National Short Film Award
• 2 Jury Mentions in each category

3-JURY
a) The jury will be made up of personalities from the audiovisual media, the arts and national and/or international culture.
b) People who are directly related to the works in competition will be disqualified from being part of the jury.
c) The decision of the jury is final

4-GENERAL CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION
The call for feature film registration will be from April 15 to May 15, 2023.

All films must be presented in the original version and subtitled in Spanish. Any language in which the film is broadcast in its country of origin is considered the original version. Subtitling costs will be borne by the production of the film.

The films must be sent in formats accessible online and/or streaming (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.). Download links are not allowed (example Wetranfer, Megaupload)

5-BREACH OF REQUIREMENTS
The received works that do not comply with the general conditions of participation and the pre-selection requirements will not be registered.

6- ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS – ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS
Registration in the International and Latin American Documentary Film Festival, DOCA 2023 implies the acceptance of these bases and conditions and the transfer of the projection rights of the material presented for the purposes of the dissemination of this edition, as well as future editions to from the material selection date.

Likewise, together with the signing of these bases and conditions, the owner(s) of the work agrees to assign the projection and reproduction rights of the work for the purposes of its exhibition at the DOCA 2023 International Film Festival (in the national territory or abroad) as well as for its advertising diffusion.

The Festival will not pay, in any case, any fee caused by the sending of the copies.
Participation in the International Documentary Film Festival, DOCA, implies that you agree with these regulations and prior compliance with the conditions for sending the material.

The artistic criteria for organizing the programming are from the festival's sample commission and the decisions in this regard will be final.

The Festival will not pay the screening feed to any selected film.
The bases and conditions may be modified without prior notice.

7-RIGHTS OF PARTICIPATING WORKS
1) The participants state that they are the sole and real owners of the audiovisual works that are presented to the festival, both in the case of being the author and in the case of being the assignee thereof. In case of falsity in the affidavit, because they are not the owners of the same, the responsibility for any third-party claim will be exclusively of the participant who presents the work, without the Festival having anything to respond to third parties.
2) The participants state that they have all the rights involved in the work.
3) The participants declare that they leave the International and Latin American Documentary Film Festival, DOCA 2023, harmless for any claim regarding the ownership of the work and/or lack of authorization regarding the rights contained therein.




  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
