The International Film Festival “La Picasa” will be held in the town of Cinco Saltos (Río Negro, Argentina), on March 20, 21, 22 and 23, 2025. The Festival is organized by Picasa Team, social organizations in the region and with the collaboration of the Province of Río Negro. The programming is in charge of the Artistic Director Ivan Iannamico with the general production of Noelia Fuentes.

Award for the best Regional Fiction short film.
Award for the best National Fiction short film.
Award for the best International Fiction short film.
Award for the best Documentary short film.
Award for the best Animation short film.
Award for the best Horror short film.
Award for the best Videoclip short film
Award for the best erotic short film
Award for the best short film at the 6th International Film Festival “La Picasa”.
Audience Award for the best short film.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

The call for entries is open for the Short Film Competition in the categories NATIONAL FICTION, INTERNATIONAL FICTION, REGIONAL FICTION (Patagonia Region Argentina), DOCUMENTARY, TERROR, ANIMATION, VIDEO CLIP (Only RIO NEGRO and NEUQUEN provinces) and EROTIC. All short films of national and international production, produced in 2022, 2023, 2024, may participate. The duration must not exceed 20 minutes (including credits).

REGISTRATION CONDITIONS

a. All producers or directors who own the rights to the works they submit may participate.
b. Each participant may submit as many films as they wish.

c. The works must be in Spanish (Castilian) or subtitled in Spanish (Castilian). Not dubbed.

d. Registration will be done by filling out a form and sending a link to the work and/or completing the necessary fields on the festival platforms.

e. The material must be sent by December 29, 2024 (inclusive).

RIGHTS OVER THE WORKS

The organization assumes that the persons or groups that register the works have the rights to exhibit them, as well as the authorization to receive the award in the case of collective authorship. In any case, the organization is exempt from any liability that may arise from the violation of this rule.

SELECTION

A selection group will be responsible for choosing, from all the films received, those works that will participate in the International Film Festival "La Picasa". The decisions adopted will be communicated from January 26, 2025 to their respective directors, producers or distributors.
