u22 Festival is the young film festival of Barcelona, the meeting and networking point for young filmmakers from all over the world. It takes place every September at the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona, ​​and is also available online at Filmin.

Prix ​​en espèces: 1,000€
Screening Fee Shorts: 40€

- 1.000€ prize for the best young short film of the year.

- Audience award (valued in kind).

- Prizes in kind for the winning film and finalists, provided by Fujifilm, Filmin, and Másquevídeo.

- All short films will be available on Filmin temporarily.

- Screening fee for all selected projects.

Prizes subject to change during the months leading up to the festival.

In order to participate with a short film, it is necessary to accomplish the following conditions:

- The person or group of people who authored the short film must be twenty-two years old or younger and/or be university or vocational students under thirty years of age on the date of filming.

- The films must have been produced since January 2024.

- Any theme and genre is accepted.


In order to participate with a feature film, it is necessary to accomplish the following conditions:

- The person or group of people who authored the short film must be twenty-two years old or younger and/or be university or vocational students under thirty years of age on the date of filming.

- It must be the first or second feature film of the person or group of authors.

- The works must have been produced since January 2023.

- Any theme and genre is accepted.


It is also important to remember the following aspects:

- The same person or group of people can submit more than one film.

- It is not necessary, although it will be positively valued, the territorial, national or international premiere of the film at the festival.
