u22 Festival is the young film festival of Barcelona, the meeting and networking point for young filmmakers from all over the world. From 17th to 21th September 2025 at the Joan Miró Foundation of Barcelona, and online in Filmin.

Cash Prizes: 1,000€
Screening Fee Shorts: 40€

- 1.000€ prize for the best young short film of the year.

- Public award

- 500€ of rental for material for the winning film and a 25% discount for all those selected.

- All the films hace the oprion to be temporarily available online on Filmin.

- Projection fee for all the selected projects.

- Annual and monthly Filmin licenses.

- Fujifilm X-H2S cámera + XF18 55mm.

- LED Nanlite Forza 150.

Prizes subject to change during the months leading up to the festival.

In order to participate with a short film, it is necessary to accomplish the following conditions.

- The person or group of people authoring the short film must be twenty-two years old or younger and/or be students under 30 years old on the date of filming the film.

- The films must have been produced since January 2023

- Any theme and genre is accepted.


In order to participate with a feature film, it is necessary to accomplish the following conditions.

- The person or group of people authoring the film must be twenty-two years old or younger and/or be students under 30 years old on the date of filming the film.

- It must be the first or second feature film of the person or group of authors.

- The works must have been produced since January 2022

- Any theme and genre is accepted.

It is also important to remember the following aspects.

- The same person or group of people can submit more than one footage.

- It is not necessary, although it will be positively valued, the territorial, national or international premiere of the film at the festival.
