We are International Christian Film Festival of Bogotá – FICCBOG. We promote cinematic talent to bring light to movie theaters.
We believe in the power of storytelling to transform, inspire, and reflect values of faith.
We train and connect emerging and professional creators with a common purpose: to multiply the light through cinema and bring to life stories that touch the heart of the world.
The event takes place from September 2 to 6, 2025, featuring an opening ceremony, screenings of short films selected through a prior call, and training activities such as workshops and talks led by experts in screenwriting, directing, production, and distribution.
On the final day of the festival, a closing ceremony is held with awards presented in the following categories: Best Faith Story Short Film Shot on Mobile, Best Christian Short Film, Best Short Film – A Different Perspective, and Best Christian Music Video.
The selected short films will be exhibited for one (1) year through public and private channels as part of the Festival’s strategic partnerships.
Likewise, the winners of each category will receive a commemorative Festival statuette in recognition of their audiovisual excellence.
Additionally, the Festival is currently securing new awards in collaboration with strategic partners, which will be presented during the awards ceremony scheduled for September 6, 2025.

ARTICLE 1: MISSION & VISION
We are the International Christian Film Festival of Bogotá – FICCBOG.
Our purpose is to champion filmmaking talent that brings light to the big screen.
We believe in the power of storytelling to transform, inspire and reflect values of faith. We train and connect emerging creators and seasoned professionals around a shared goal: multiplying the light through cinema and giving life to stories that touch the world’s heart.
Our vision is to make the International Christian Film Festival of Bogotá a global benchmark for purposeful cinema.
ARTICLE 2: CALL OPENING & CLOSING DATES
FICCBOG opens submissions for its 2025 edition on the following dates:

General Restrictions (all categories)
No discriminatory content of any kind (racism, xenophobia, etc.).
No political propaganda; the festival maintains a neutral stance.
No unverified information or dissemination of false data.
Strictly forbidden: irony, mockery or disrespectful depictions of Jesus.
ARTICLE 4: REQUIREMENTS – CHRISTIAN SHORT FILM
Eligible participants: amateurs or professionals aged 18 +, residing in Colombia or abroad.
Horizontal format, max. 25 min (credits included).
Genres: documentary or fiction.
File: MP4 / MOV, H.264 codec, min. Full HD (1920 × 1080).
Works in languages other than Spanish must include Spanish subtitles.
Only films completed on or after 1 January 2022.
Up to five BTS photos (JPG / PNG) and the editable poster must be attached.
Theme
Transformative stories placing Jesus at the centre: faith, redemption, love, hope, reconciliation. Well-structured scripts, authentic characters and original ways of conveying the Gospel—whether set in contemporary or historical contexts—are especially valued.
ARTICLE 4 (bis): REQUIREMENTS – “ANOTHER VIEW” SHORT FILM

Theme
Recognises purpose-driven cinema: inspirational stories of overcoming obstacles and fostering positive change, regionally and internationally.
Regional focus: works portraying Colombian landscapes, customs and realities.
International reach: narratives on personal growth, reconciliation and spirituality that connect with a global audience.
ARTICLE 5: REQUIREMENTS – CHRISTIAN MUSIC VIDEO
Horizontal format, max. 7 min (credits included).
Same technical specs as above.
Only videos completed on or after 1 January 2022.
Up to five BTS photos and editable poster required.
Theme
Music videos that convey faith and hope, showcasing the Christian message through compelling audiovisual language. Creativity with mobile devices is welcome; narratives should inspire and resonate with everyday life.
ARTICLE 6: REQUIREMENTS – “STORY OF FAITH ON A CELL PHONE”
For amateurs or emerging filmmakers residing in Colombia.
Shot entirely on a cellphone, horizontal, max. 5 min (credits included).
Same technical specs as above.
Works completed after 1 January 2022 only.
Up to five BTS photos and editable poster required.
Theme
Purpose-driven cinema that tells stories of faith and overcoming challenges, highlighting Colombian landscapes, customs and realities to forge a deep local connection.
ARTICLE 7: SUBMISSION PROCESS
All entries must be submitted via Festhome.
You may enter one or multiple categories.
Fee: USD 5 per category.
If submitting more than one film in the same category, you pay the fee only once for that category.
ARTICLE 8: COPYRIGHT & USE OF THE AUDIOVISUAL WORK
The producer / entrant declares they hold the legitimate rights to the work and therefore:
Respect moral rights of authors per current regulations.
Ensure the film does not infringe third-party rights and includes proper credits.
Authorize FICCBOG S.A.S. to publicly exhibit the work via broadcasts, digital channels and regional media until 31 December 2025.
Certify valid licences for all synchronized music; if represented by ACODEM, provide clearances.
Assume responsibility for any intellectual-property infringements.
Authorize format conversion or mastering if needed for exhibition or archiving.
Acceptance & Rights Grant
By submitting, the participant confirms full acceptance of these rules and grants FICCBOG a one-year non-exclusive right to screen the work without financial compensation.
ARTICLE 9: APPLICABLE LAW
The festival is governed by Colombian law, notably:
Law 397/1997 (General Culture Act)
Law 1556/2012 (Film Industry Promotion)
Law 23/1982 (Copyright)
And related provisions.
FICCBOG commits to upholding creators’, producers’ and audiences’ rights and to fostering Colombian audiovisual culture ethically, legally and educationally.
ARTICLE 10: SELECTION OF FILMS – 2025
A curatorial team will evaluate submissions on artistic, technical and thematic grounds.
Official selections will be announced on 29 August 2025.
Selected films must be delivered in DCP format (physical or downloadable). The festival bears no responsibility for loss, damage or return of physical materials.
ARTICLE 11: INCENTIVES
Selected shorts will screen for one year on public and private channels via festival partnerships.
Winners in each category receive a commemorative trophy.
Special Prize – Christian Music Video
Canal Trece will produce a new music video (max. 3 min) for the category winner, subject to the channel’s terms: creative proposal, wardrobe, art design and cast list required. Filming in Canal Trece studios by 15 Nov 2025; post-production delivered by 15 Dec 2025. No VFX / animation included. International winners must cover their own travel and lodging.
Additional prizes from strategic partners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 6 September 2025.
