TERMS AND CONDITIONS
FICFUSA 2026 — 13th International Film Festival of Fusagasugá

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

FICFUSA is a film festival and community cultural process with thirteen (13) years of trajectory that, from its Women and Territory perspective, understands cinema as a space for encounter, creation, reflection, and transformation.

The 13th edition will take place from November 11 to 16, 2026, in Fusagasugá, Cundinamarca, Colombia.
The call for entries is open from March 8 to August 8, 2026.

2. PARTICIPATION CATEGORIES

- Stories of Women — National and International Feature Films

This category welcomes cinematic works that address the experiences, memories, challenges, struggles, transformations, and representations of women from multiple narrative and aesthetic perspectives. Films may be directed by people of any gender and from diverse cultural and geographical contexts.
FICFUSA particularly values works that offer critical, sensitive, or innovative perspectives on women’s realities. Films that expand cinematic language and contribute new ways of narrating femininity in the contemporary world are welcome, without imposing a single thematic or narrative approach.

Minimum duration: 45 minutes
Genre: Open

- A Short Story — Short Films from Cundinamarca

This category is dedicated to short films shot in the municipalities of the Cundinamarca department, Colombia. Bogotá is not eligible. In the case of animation works, the director must have been born in or currently reside in the department of Cundinamarca.
Special consideration will be given to works that engage with the territories, communities, and cultural contexts of the department. This section seeks to recognize and highlight local audiovisual creation processes, encouraging the participation of artists developing their projects in the region.

Maximum duration: 30 minutes
Genre: Open

- Made by Colombian Women — Short Films Directed by Women

Competitive category for Colombian short films directed by women. Open theme.

This category seeks to highlight and promote cinema made by women in Colombia, recognizing the diversity of perspectives, languages, and forms of audiovisual creation emerging in the country. We value the ability to tell stories from both intimate and collective perspectives, expanding ways of seeing and narrating the world from feminine viewpoints.

Maximum duration: 30 minutes

- A Story Made in the Regions — Short Films from Colombian Regions

This category aims to recognize and showcase short films created in the diverse regions of Colombia that tell stories rooted in their territories, communities, and cultural contexts.

We value stories that address themes such as identity, community processes, memory, social and cultural transformation, biodiversity, and the unique dynamics of each territory.
