Ipiales Cine Sin Fronteras as an audiovisual scenario promotes the development of projects or independent production and supports the production of audiovisual arts, as well as highlighting their role in the formation of audiences.

* The jury will be free to grant mentions to other shorts if it deems it necessary.

1.- DATE AND PLACE OF THE CONTEST: From October 1 to 5, 2024, in the city of Ipiales, Colombia.

2.- CATEGORIES OF THE COMPETITION: Films from Spanish-speaking countries may participate and will be distributed according to the different criteria in the Official Selection, these are: Local Short Film, National Short Film and International Short Film.


3.- DATE OF RECEIPT:

Short films: From April 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024.


4.- PARTICIPATING WORKS: Fiction, animation and documentary short film productions completed in 2022 to date may participate.


5.- DURATION:

Short film: Works of up to 25 minutes maximum (including credits) will be accepted.


6.- LANGUAGE: Works that are spoken in native languages or languages other than Spanish must have subtitles in Spanish.


7.- REGISTRATION: Applicants must enter FESTHOME (https://festhome.com/f/2126) and complete the corresponding registration.


8.- SUBMISSION OF WORKS: Applicants must upload the digital file of the film in high definition (DCP, .MOV, .MP4, H.264 compression) to a virtual platform (vimeo) and send the link via email. download. They must also send high-resolution photographs, posters and graphic and audiovisual promotional material and also attach the document (license) where the festival has the right to display its material.


9.- SHIPPING METHOD: Digital files must be sent via email to ipialescinesinfronteras@gmail.com, along with the registration form (point 7). The DVDs and Bluray must be sent via traditional mail, with their box and cover with all the information properly labeled, including the document for exhibition rights, in the name of EDISON ROMERO address: Calle 11 # 14-54 B/Las Américas in the city of Popayán, Cauca - Colombia. 10.- JURY: It will be made up of representatives of the national audiovisual media, arts and culture.


11.- RECOGNITION: Recognition (Official Selection certification) will be given to the selected works in each category.

12.- CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: By registering, those responsible for the films classified in the Official Selection accept that their films will be exhibited in the different activities framed in the development of the IPIALES CINE SIN FRONTERAS 2023 FESTIVAL. As well as use extracts of images from the films for promotional purposes of the Festival through the media. The material sent will not be returned and will become part of the ICSF archive, for use in non-profit cultural activities. The festival is not responsible for possible infringements related to copyright, these being the responsibility of the person who registers the work. Shipping costs for the registration of works will be the responsibility of the participants.

13.- Each contestant may submit up to 2 (two) works.
