Festival start: 21 September 2020      Festival end: 25 September 2020

The LAN festival is a platform that makes visible and valued audiovisual projects that reflect the feeling of the so-called working class, its identity traits, its aesthetics, its social and associative framework, its architecture, its capacity for struggle and adaptation and, above all, historical and collective memory.

LAN is a non-competitive festival that bases its programming on the diversity, both in form and theme, of the works it exhibits. Therefore, it does not award prizes to the selected films.

The works to compete must tell stories related to the world of work and of the workers or address the industrial environment and heritage

All short and feature films of national and international production without a production date limit may compete.

Fiction, advertising, institutional or journalistic reports are not allowed.

Each author can submit as many works as he or she wishes, as long as they comply with the conditions established in these rules.

The inscription of a film must be made by the individuals or legal entities that hold the rights over the works they present.

Both the countries of production and the nationality of the director can be any. If the dialogues are in a language other than Euskera or Spanish, they must have subtitles in one of these two languages.

Registration will be made through the Festhome platform (,Click for Fetivals, FilmFreeway or sending information to the mail
In order that the registration can be considered valid, the contestants must include in their file, at least, the following information:

• Duration.
• Language of the dialogues.
• Country of production.
• Production completion date
• Contact information: contact person, telephone, web, e-mail.
• Place and date of birth of the author or authors.
• Link for online viewing

The files of the registered works must also contain the following documentation:

• Three frames (minimum 1200 x 700 pixels), in jpg or png format.
• A photograph of the director or directors (minimum 800 x 600 pixels), in jpg or png format.

A selection group will be responsible for choosing, among all the films received, those works that will participate in the LAN Festival. The selected works will be screened in the festival edition that will take place in the month of December 2018.

The reception of the works does not imply their inclusion in the official program.

Once a film has been selected, it can not be withdrawn from the festival.

Transfer of Exhibition rights
All the pre-selected participants of feature films and short films assign to the ORGANIZER the rights of exhibition of the Work during the course of the LAN Festival, as well as the use of frames, photographs and extracts of the films for their diffusion in any communication medium and promotion, in order to promote and disseminate the Festival.

The received and selected works will remain as material of the Festival's video library, so the owners of the rights authorize LAN to exhibit the films during the event and may be presented at various traveling events of the festival in other cities and countries for strictly cultural and educational purposes.
