Loud 'N' Roll Cinema emerges as an international festival dedicated to showcasing and awarding rock music videos, highlighting the fusion of music and cinematic language. More than just a screening event, the festival aims to be a celebration of creativity, where audiovisual storytelling amplifies the power, aesthetics, and attitude of rock.

Arara-Azul – Best Brazilian Music Video
Category dedicated to rock music videos produced in Brazil and performed in Portuguese, highlighting the cultural, aesthetic, and creative diversity of the Brazilian scene.

Andorinha-do-mar – Best Foreign Language Music Video
Category aimed at rock music videos produced in any country, including Brazilian productions performed in foreign languages, celebrating the global reach of rock music.

Parallel Competition

Ave-do-Paraíso – Best Symphonic Film
Category dedicated to dialogue-free films: audiovisual works in which music and visual narrative merge centrally, not limited to the rock genre and welcoming productions from different musical styles.

1 – Introduction

1.1. Loud ’N’ Roll Cinema (LRC) is an international festival dedicated to the exhibition and awarding of rock music videos, as well as audiovisual works that engage with music through cinematic language.

1.2. The 2026 edition will take place at the cultural venue CASA½BAR, in Balneário Piçarras – SC – Brazil.

1.3. The festival maintains a cultural character and free public access.

2 – Submission and Eligibility

2.1. Submissions will be made through the Festhome platform or, eventually, through proprietary forms provided by the organization.

2.2. Works from any country will be accepted.

2.3. For the Main Competition, only music videos belonging to the rock genre will be accepted.

2.4. Submitted works must have been officially released between January 1, 2024 and April 30, 2026.

2.5. Each artist, filmmaker, or collective may submit multiple works; however, only one (01) work per artist will be considered, specifically the one that receives the highest score from the curatorial evaluation.

2.6. The direct or indirect participation of members of the organization, curatorial team, or jury in submitted works is prohibited. If a conflict of interest is identified, the work will be automatically disqualified, with no right to appeal.

3 – Categories, Evaluation and Awards
3.1. Official Categories

Main Competition

Arara-Azul – Best Brazilian Music Video
Category dedicated to rock music videos produced in Brazil and performed in Portuguese, highlighting the cultural, aesthetic, and creative diversity of the Brazilian scene.

Andorinha-do-mar – Best Foreign Language Music Video
Category aimed at rock music videos produced in any country, including Brazilian productions performed in foreign languages, celebrating the global reach of rock music.

Parallel Competition

Ave-do-Paraíso – Best Symphonic Film
Category dedicated to dialogue-free films: audiovisual works in which music and visual narrative merge centrally, not limited to the rock genre and welcoming productions from different musical styles.

3.2. Up to 10 (ten) finalist works per category will be selected.

3.3. The selection will be carried out by a curatorial committee, and the winners will be determined by an invited jury.

3.4. Evaluation Criteria:

Creativity and originality

Technical quality

Visual impact and strength

Musical quality

Harmony between music and image

Consistency with the rock genre (except for the category Ave-do-Paraíso – Best Symphonic Film)

3.5. The festival will grant digital certificates to selected works and special certificates to winning works. Awards are honorary in nature, with no cash prizes.

3.6. The organization may, at its discretion, establish special mentions or additional awards.

4 – Copyright, Image Rights and Exhibition

4.1. Participants declare that they hold all copyright and image rights to the submitted works, including soundtrack, images, and all audiovisual elements, exempting the organization from any legal responsibility toward third parties.

4.2. Selected works may be exhibited during the festival and used in institutional promotional activities of Loud ’N’ Roll Cinema, including the official website, social media, promotional materials, and public presentations related to the event.

4.3. The festival does not require exclusivity for submitted works.

5 – Format and Technical Requirements

5.1. Works should preferably be submitted in MP4 or MOV format, with a minimum resolution of 1080p.

5.2. Subtitles:

Works in Portuguese do not require subtitles.

Instrumental works do not require subtitles.

Works in foreign languages must include subtitles in Portuguese.

5.3. If subtitles are not available, the organization may request the subtitles or a time-coded written transcription.

6 – General Provisions

6.1. Submission implies full acceptance of these regulations.

6.2. Any matters not covered herein will be resolved by the festival organization, whose decision shall be final.

6.3. The festival may change dates, formats, or deadlines due to force majeure.

6.4. Amendments to these regulations will be officially communicated on the event’s website:

7 – Principles and Values

7.1. Loud ’N’ Roll Cinema upholds art as a space of freedom, diversity, dialogue, and cultural expression.

7.2. Works that promote hate speech, prejudice, violence, or any form of intolerance will not be accepted. Works that violate these principles will be disqualified.

8 – Expansion and Future Editions

8.1. The festival may expand its activities by creating new categories, parallel screenings, and institutional partnerships.

8.2. Any future exhibition or distribution initiative outside the means provided in these regulations will be previously communicated to the filmmakers, who may freely choose whether or not to participate.

8.3. The organization reserves the right to review criteria and guidelines in future editions in order to continuously improve the festival.
