MA/IN è un festival internazionale dedicato a film e video sperimentali, con l'obiettivo di indagare il rapporto tra immagine e suono.

La missione di MA/IN è fornire al pubblico locale e regionale l'opportunità di vedere un'ampia varietà di opere sperimentali contemporanee, incentrate sull'eccellenza artistica, stili, forme e nazionalità differenti.

Dal 2016, in collaborazione con istituzioni regionali/nazionali e parte del programma culturale di Matera 2019 Capitale Europea della Cultura, Ma/In festivalt propone un programma di live cinema, performance, sonorizzazione dal vivo di classici del cinema muto.

La settima edizione si terrà nei mesi di ottobre/novembre in Basilicata e Puglia, Sud Italia.

Il festival presenterà anteprime, retrospettive, omaggi, performance audiovisive e tavole rotonde.

MA/IN Festival è aperto agli artisti che vogliono presentare opere sperimentali: found footage, saggio film, video performance, cinema espanso, animazione sperimentale, documentario sperimentale, videoarte, nuova sonorizzazione dei film, realtà virtuale, cinema immersivo a 360°.

Solo cortometraggi con una durata massima di 30 minuti. Nessuna restrizione sulla data di completamento, lo stato di première o se il tuo lavoro è stato reso disponibile online

Una giuria internazionale selezionerà le opere da proiettare. Solo le opere selezionate saranno nel programma del festival.

Selezione ufficiale: i film selezionati per la proiezione saranno informati via e-mail.
Vincitore del Premio: Il vincitore sarà invitato ad accompagnare il proprio film al festival MA/IN e le spese di alloggio saranno a carico dell'Organizzazione.

NOVITà IMPORTANTE: Quest'anno una collaborazione con il CRM (Centro di Ricerche Musicali) di Roma prevede una programmazione speciale di AUDIOVISIVI opere selezionate, durante il festival "Artescienza 2023": luglio 2023, Goethe-Institut, Roma.

Il festival è organizzato da LOXOSconcept, centro culturale no-profit, attivo nella realizzazione di filmati sperimentali, opere di sound art, installazioni artistiche e che promuove la ricerca sugli aspetti estetici, analitici, musicologici e scientifici della musica.

- Registration for the Festival competition, takes place exclusively through Festhome.

The festival registration fee is €25.00 for each work

- By submitting, the participant filmmaker/artist acknowledges and agrees that if selected for the festival - their film will be screened in a live venue in front of live audience.

- By submitting, the participant filmmaker/artist acknowledges and agrees for the MA/IN Festival to use publicity material (film, production stills, posters, clip etc.) from selected films to promote the festival in print and online.

- Selected works will remain in the archive of the festival and be used during screenings; details of screenings will be communicated to the artists prior to the event;

- All selected works will be promoted through our social media and website with a dedicated page with synopsis, film stills and trailer. For this purpose, we recommend that projects must be fully entered on Festhome, including film stills, production pictures, downloadable poster, and trailer or teaser.

- The Artist certifies that she/he is the sole author of the Artwork, that this is an original work that does not copy other preexisting works.

- The personal data supplied by the artists will be treated in accordance with Law 675/96 (“Privacy Policy”), the Legislative Decree n. 196/2003 (“Privacy Code”) and the art.13 Regulation EU 2016/679 (G.D.P.R), even for inclusion in databases operated by the LOXOSconcept cultural association. Any television, radio, recordings, and broadcasts of the works participating in the award for the promotion of the artists or the festival itself through marketing and communication are authorised by the artist without any additional obligation for the organization and without prior request of consent from the artist.
