The theme must focus, from the values of solidarity, tolerance, culture of peace, nature and commitment to gender equality, on ways of life, traditions, trades, crafts, sustainable economy, respect for the environment and living beings, that is, all aspects of the diversity of human culture, with a specific section dealing with issues of the peoples of Siberia and Central Asia.

2026 MINIDOC CONTEST RULES
I. The 12th International Minidocumentary Contest with Commitment of the CARMEN ARNAU MURO FOUNDATION FOR THE STUDY AND DISSEMINATION OF THE CULTURE OF THE PEOPLES OF SIBERIA, CENTRAL ASIA, MONGOLIA, and CHINA will be held at the ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM of Polán (Toledo) on November 7, 2026.
II. The subject matter must revolve around values of solidarity, tolerance, culture of peace, nature, and commitment to gender equality. Topics should cover ways of life, traditions, trades, crafts, sustainable economy, and respect for the environment and living beings—in other words, all aspects of the diversity of human culture—with a specific section addressing topics related to the peoples of Siberia and Central Asia.
III. The ethnographic minidocumentaries must not be produced prior to 2022.
IV. The maximum duration for each minidocumentary must be 12 minutes.
V. Those interested in participating in the contest must choose one of the following modalities to submit their work:
a) Submit the minidocumentary to MINIDOC III via the platform:

b) If the minidocumentary is hosted on a website, send the corresponding URL via email to the Foundation's email address: info@fundacioncarmenarnaumuro.org
c) Send the documentary directly to our foundation.
The documentaries presented for the contest will be exhibited solely for educational, non-profit purposes, at the museum itself or wherever the foundation carries out any activity.
VI. The originals must be in Spanish, or in any of the other official languages of the Spanish state. If they are in other languages, they must be subtitled in Spanish.
VII. Each director or producer may present a maximum of 2 minidocumentaries.
VIII. The submission deadline is October 7, 2026.
SUBMISSIONS
IX. Contestants shall be responsible for the content of the minidocumentaries presented to the contest, which must respect Intellectual Property law and not be subject to any legal claims. In any case, the organization is not responsible for the content of the minidocumentaries presented to the contest.
X. The foundation will cover the accommodation and meal expenses (for November 7, 2026) for the winning authors (two people per awarded minidocumentary), whose presence at the award ceremony is not mandatory.
AWARDS
XII. The prizes are not cumulative.
€900 and a diploma for the documentary that best reflects and raises awareness about the requested themes: values of solidarity, tolerance, culture of peace, respect for nature, and commitment to gender equality.
€300 and a diploma for the second best.
€200 and a diploma for the third best.
€300 and a diploma for the theme concerning Siberia or Central Asia.
XIII. The jury, composed of professionals, reserves the right to declare any of the prizes void, and their decisions shall be final.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
XIV. The foundation is authorized to obtain a copy of all minidocumentaries presented. No reproduction or exhibition for commercial purposes will be made.
Non-selected minidocumentaries will be used exclusively for the foundation's cultural and dissemination purposes. For the minidocumentaries selected to compete, the organizing committee reserves the right to distribution, and public and private exhibition anywhere in the world, by itself or by third parties, with explicit mention of the author of the documentaries.
XV. Situations not foreseen in these rules will be resolved without appeal by the organizing committee.
XVI. Submitting a minidocumentary constitutes acceptance of the conditions of these RULES, whose interpretation and application correspond to the organization.
