THE FESTIVAL

Miradas del Mundo is a film festival for independent filmmakers from all over the world, which receives and awards feature films and short fiction and documentaries. A cultural and artistic event where filmmakers can exchange experiences and connect with colleagues and audiences from all over the world. The Festival provides a unique opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their innovative artistic and narrative proposal, which also represents a commitment to their environment and a passion for cinema.

Diversity of views, heterogeneity of thought and creative risk are welcome at our Festival. Every look is political. Every look is moral. And there's nothing like cinema to express it. Views of the World is looking for films that raise more questions than answers. Let them excite. That they call for reflection. Let them be unsettling. That awaken fantasies. Let them make you dream. Don't settle. Let them take risks. That they are passionate and propose different views of the world and cinema. We are proud to host an event designed to bring audiences and filmmakers together in an environment where enthusiastic discussions, collaboration and solidarity can flourish in a fraternal and creative environment.

BASES and REQUIREMENTS

- Directors, producers from anywhere in the world, who are over 18 years of age and can attest that they own all the rights to the film they present (or corresponding authorizations) for exhibition within the Festival, can participate.

- Finished films are accepted from January 2022.

- The accepted genres are: Feature films and short films, fiction, documentaries and animation.
duration

Feature films: A minimum of 60 minutes and a maximum of 120 minutes.

Short films: A minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 30 minutes.

- Registration fees are non-refundable.

- We will NOT accept display links for exhibition purposes.

- We accept movies in MOV or MP4 (H.264) Full HD (1080) format.

- If the original language of the films is not Spanish, they must have subtitles in Spanish, either embedded in the film or by sending the subtitles to the festival email in a .srt file

- If the film uploaded to the Submission Platforms does not have subtitles in Spanish, the Festival may require the sending by email of an .srt file with the synchronized subtitles to the following email: mirasdelmundofest@gmail.com

- The Festival does not make returns on materials received. Both the films and the promotional materials (Poster, reel, press kit, etc.)

- Films must be free of ghosting/logos or other
images.

- You certify that you are the copyright owner or authorized by the copyright owner to submit the film, this film is original, contains no advertisements, and has been legally authorized for public display. You are granting permission to use footage, photographic images and/or titles, and information from or related to the film for promotional purposes as well.

COPYRIGHT and PROJECTIONS

The Miradas del Mundo Festival does not assume any legal responsibility derived from copyright issues, which will be borne by the applicant. Likewise, the Festival reserves the right to disqualify the contestant and withdraw the certificate in case of disputes over copyright for the selected film.

Participants accept and authorize the Miradas del Mundo Festival to use all or part of their films for the promotion and dissemination of the Festival and its participants.

The participants authorize the Miradas del Mundo Festival to project their works without profit in public places such as cinemas, universities and squares; and to upload their films to the Festival's official platform. This will guarantee the necessary protection of the copyright of the films, as well as the rights of the directors.
Participants agree not to charge any fee for the aforementioned authorization acts.

It is considered that participants who register their films in the Festival have understood and accepted the terms and commitments mentioned above, regarding the Bases and Requirements. And they voluntarily assume the corresponding legal responsibilities.
