Movie Life Festival announces the short film competition in the following categories:

1: Short Mobile, filmed with mobile phone (including Reels, Stories, TikTok videos, YouTube Shorts).

2: Short Filmmaker, filmed with a video or movie camera.

3: AI Short, created exclusively with artificial intelligence. The festival awards the best short film chosen by the online popular jury for each of the three sections, while the technical jury will select the best director, best lead actor and actress, best screenplay, best soundtrack, and best cinematography. The theme of the competition is open.

Participants must submit their creations no later than June 30, 2026.

2.1 - Movie Life

The festival awards the best short film chosen by the online popular jury for each of the three sections, while the technical jury will select the best director, best lead actor and actress, best screenplay, best soundtrack, and best cinematography. The theme of the competition is open.

2.1 - Rights Ownership

The films must be original works. Video editing programs may be used, and the inclusion of soundtracks is permitted provided that the rights to both the music and any inserted texts are held by the participant.

3. Participation Methods

No participation fees are required. To participate, connect to the website https://www.dailybloid.com/movie-short-festival, download the Call for Entries and Application Form, send the short at email info@movieshort.org, not as an attachment, but as a link. Send the completed and signed Call for Entries and Application Form as well.

4. Selection

Movie&Short reserves the right to exclude works that violate copyright law.

5. Voting For The Best Short Film

The online popular jury voting will take place through users expressing their preferences on the magazine https://www.dailybloid.com/movie-short-festival . online votes will be collected during the 30 days preceding the award ceremony, until 5 days before the ceremony.
The audience award will be determined by the votes of the online popular jury. The short film that wins this award will be screened at the event venue.

6. Technical Jury

During the final evening, the technical jury will reveal the winners for the awards: Best Director, Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Soundtrack.

7. Dates

Works must be uploaded by June 30, 2026. After this date, participation will no longer be possible. online voting will begin on July 7, 2026, until midnight of the day before the award ceremony. The award ceremony will take place on August, 2026 in Locarno (Switzerland).
