The accompanied loneliness

The global existential crisis, a product of a wild and violent capitalism based on the maximum exacerbation of ego that destroys social fabric and condemns sapiens to loneliness, has produced biotechnological phenomena such as virtual sex. And the webcam industry is the most expanding in that horizon.

Despite this, morality, as always, which allows massacres and genocides in the name of God, marginalizes and stigmatizes people who professionally practice explicit sex in front of a camera.

The greater the development, the greater the loneliness. This neoliberal-neofeudal system, built against our collaborative nature, where aggressive competition, violence, and limitless ego prevail, has generated an alienated society, self-absorbed, incapable of organically communicating with others.

And it is these individuals, unable to find company naturally, who spend hours and hours in front of a screen, spending fortunes in the global south, with the sole objective of having an interlocutor who saves them from their lonely hell.

That is why this 5th edition of our Erotic and Post-porn Film Bogotá Showcase is dedicated to those who professionally offer their virtual companionship services. One cannot be stigmatized and excluded, who offers solace, companionship, and dialogue, apart from sex, to people that the system has communicationally mutilated.

The film showcase will feature a selection that addresses the issue in all its complexity, far from inquisitorial moralism and absurd prejudices.

On the academic side, we will offer talks and workshops, led by professionals with experience in the field, to share their experiences on how to improve performances on camera, how to build characters, or how to apply basic psychology notions that lead to better presentations and better performance with less effort.

Through this initiative, we want to provide tools to industry individuals so that, far from feeling excluded, they empower themselves and seek autonomy that allows them not to have to sell their labor to exploitative studios but to be the owners of their time, work, mind, and body.

Welcome, web cam companions. We are proud to dedicate this edition of our Showcase to you and, hopefully, contribute to your self-affirmation and emancipation.

It isn't a Competitive Showcase.

- **DATE AND LOCATION OF THE FESTIVAL**: From April 13 to 19, 2025, in the city of Bogotá, Colombia.

- **SUBMISSION deadline**: From August 15, 2024, to February 20, 2025. It will be divided into two deadlines: Regular deadline (August 15, 2024, to January 31, 2025) and Extended deadline (February 1 to 20, 2025).

- **OFFICIAL SELECTION NOTIFICATION DATE**: The official selection will be revealed on March 15 along with the Allies, screening locations, partners, and sponsors through a Live Stream on social media.

- **FESTIVAL CATEGORIES AND FEES**: The SHOWCASE will be divided into the following categories:

* Feature Film (Live Action, Animated, or Documentary): Regular deadline: 10 USD. Extended deadline: 18 USD.

* Short Film (Live Action, Animated, or Documentary): Regular deadline: 5 USD. Extended deadline: 8 USD.

* National Feature Film: Regular deadline: 5 USD. Extended deadline: 10 USD.

* National Short Film: Regular deadline: 3 USD. Extended deadline: 5 USD.

* Thematic Short Film: Regular deadline: 3 USD. Extended deadline: 5 USD.

If the curating team believes that a submitted film fits better in a different category than the one submitted, they may move it without prior notice, and no complaints will be accepted from participants.

- **PARTICIPATING FILMS**: Films from all over the world can participate. If the film is in a language other than Spanish, Spanish subtitles are required. If the film is in Spanish, nothing additional is required. Priority will be given to national, continental, and world premieres when making the official selection, but it is not a requirement that they haven't been premiered in Colombia. The films will be available on the IndyOn.TV platform during the Showcase, and each film will be screened at a physical event at least once.

- **duration**:

* Short Films: Works from 1 minute to 30 minutes maximum (including credits).

* Feature Films: Works from 31 minutes and beyond, with no time limit.

- **SUBMISSION**: Applicants must register on FestHome and complete the corresponding registration.

- **FILM SUBMISSION**: Films must be uploaded in high-definition digital format (.MOV, .MP4, H.264 compression or ProRes 422) to a virtual platform (Dropbox, PCloud, Google Drive, etc.), and the download link must be sent via email. Additionally, the email must include the document granting the Showcase the right to exhibit the material.

- **REQUIREMENTS**: In addition to the high-quality video file, a basic Press Kit is required (Poster, 5 stills from the film, Banner, Director’s photograph, Trailer). If selected, the applicant must include the Showcase laurels on the poster and banner.

- **PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS**: By registering, the persons responsible for the films selected for the Official Selection agree that their films may be screened at various activities within the scope of the 2025 edition of the Showcase. They also agree to allow images from the films to be used for promotional purposes through media outlets. Submitted materials will not be returned and will become part of the Showcase's collection. The Showcase is not responsible for any copyright infringements, which remain the responsibility of the individual submitting the film. Shipping costs for film submissions will be the responsibility of the participants. The Erotic and PostPorn Film Showcase is a non-competitive cinematic event, and no screening fees are paid.
