Nambrocorto es el festival de cortometrajes de Nambroca, una localidad situada en la provincia de Toledo, España. Desde su creación en 2016, su objetivo principal ha sido fomentar la creación artística, la cultura audiovisual y el amor por el séptimo arte entre los habitantes del municipio y sus visitantes, premiando la creatividad y el talento de quienes participan cada año en su convocatoria.
Lo que comenzó como un modesto festival local se ha transformado, gracias al entusiasmo incondicional del público y al firme compromiso de su organización, en un evento con una enorme proyección cultural. A lo largo de sus diez ediciones anteriores, Nambrocorto ha experimentado un crecimiento exponencial en número de participantes, asistentes y actividades, convirtiéndose en un verdadero referente cinematográfico para la región.
En su XI edición en 2026, tras el rotundo éxito y el récord de participación de su décimo aniversario, el festival reafirma su papel como evento cultural de alcance regional y nacional. Se consolida así su formato ampliado de varios días, repleto de proyecciones, talleres, charlas, exposiciones, conciertos y actividades interactivas dirigidas a todos los públicos. Un año más, profesionales del audiovisual de toda España volverán a compartir su experiencia con la comunidad en un entorno participativo y cercano.
Impulsado por el lanzamiento en 2021 de su web oficial y la fuerza de sus canales digitales, Nambrocorto continúa en una constante fase de expansión y visibilidad. Gracias a estas herramientas, el festival amplía su alcance a nivel nacional y aspira a abrir sus puertas, próximamente, a participantes internacionales.
Talleres prácticos, foros de debate, actividades formativas, exhibiciones artísticas, proyectos de impacto social y una potente difusión digital forman el corazón de esta undécima edición, reafirmando a Nambrocorto como un punto de encuentro imprescindible para el talento emergente y el cine de calidad, sin perder jamás sus raíces comunitarias.

AWARDS
The presence of at least one representative of each finalist short film at the Festival Gala is mandatory. In the event of absence, no award may be granted to that film, and the prize will be awarded to the next highest-scoring short film.
The following main awards are established:
First Prize: €500 + Trophy + Diploma
Second Prize: €450 + Trophy + Diploma
Third Prize: €400 + Trophy + Diploma
Audience Award: €300 + Trophy + Diploma
In addition to the main cash awards, six Special Category Awards will be granted by the Official Jury among the 40 selected films, regardless of whether they are finalists:
Student Short Film of the Year: Trophy + Diploma
Documentary Short Film of the Year: Trophy + Diploma
Animated Short Film of the Year: Trophy + Diploma
Children's Short Film of the Year: Trophy + Diploma
Castilla-La Mancha Short Film of the Year: Trophy + Diploma
Toledo Short Film of the Year: Trophy + Diploma
Payment of Cash Awards
The monetary prizes will be subject to the tax withholdings established under current Spanish legislation (19% Personal Income Tax withholding). Payment will be made by bank transfer in the days following the awards ceremony, upon signature of a receipt or prize acceptance document by the winner and presentation of their ID card (DNI), Foreigner Identification Number (NIE), or Tax Identification Number (CIF).
Regulations of the 11th Nambrocorto Short Film Festival 2026Short Film Festival of Nambroca (Toledo, Spain)
1. The FestivalThe 11th Nambrocorto Short Film Festival 2026 will take place in November 2026 at the facilities of the Centro Cultural Fuentevieja in Nambroca, Toledo.The full schedule, activity dates, and awards ceremony details will be published in due course on the official festival website: www.nambrocorto.com.
2. Submissions & Entry ProcessSubmission Period: The call for entries opens on Monday, June 1, 2026, and closes at 24:00 (midnight) on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Submission Platforms: Short films must be submitted digitally and online through the following platform: Festhome.
Entry Fee: Submissions to the General Short Film Category have a fee of €2 per submitted work.Fee Waivers: The festival will provide special sections or fee exemptions on the platforms for free submission to the following categories: Student Short Film, Castilla-La Mancha Short Film, and Toledo Short Film. The organization will request relevant documentation to verify eligibility for these waivers.Required Data: When submitting a film, applicants must provide: a valid viewing/download link, Director's name, Producer's name, physical address, email, and contact phone number. Links will remain strictly private and accessible only to the organizers and jury members.Notification: Directors/producers of selected short films will be notified via email and will receive instructions on how to send the final screening copies.Withdrawal Policy: Once a film is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances.3. Short Film EligibilityEntrants: Open to individuals over 18 years of age residing in Spain, regardless of nationality. Each director may submit as many works as they wish.Genre & Duration: The genre is entirely open. The maximum duration of the short films is 20 minutes, including credits.Production Date: Works must have been produced after January 1, 2024, and must not have participated in previous editions of Nambrocorto.Language: Short films with dialogues or texts in any language other than Spanish must include Spanish subtitles.4. The Competition & Selection ProcessOnce the submission window closes, the selection committee will choose 40 works to form the Official Selection.Official Selection (40 Films): The list of the 40 selected films will be published on the festival website on October 31, 2026. Selected filmmakers will also be notified by email and will receive the festival's official selection laurel.Finalists (10 Films): From the Official Selection, the Official Jury (to be announced in October) will select 10 Finalists to be screened on the day of the awards ceremony and compete for the main prizes. Representatives of these 10 works will be notified privately via email well in advance to facilitate travel logistics. The official public list of finalists will be announced on the website on November 25, 2026.Note: The decisions of the jury are final and unappealable. By participating in this festival, contestants expressly waive the right to any type of claim against the jury's resolutions.5. Awards & PrizesTo receive any cash prize or award, the physical presence of a representative of the finalist short film at the Festival Gala is mandatory. Payments will be made via bank transfer in the days following the awards ceremony, upon signature of a prize acceptance document and the presentation of a valid DNI/NIE or CIF.Special Category RequirementsTo benefit from the entry fee waiver and qualify for these specific categories, works must meet and prove the following criteria:Student Short Film: The work must have been made within the context of a film school, university, or audiovisual education center as an academic project; alternatively, the director, producer, or director of photography must have been enrolled in official studies at the time of filming.Castilla-La Mancha Short Film: At least 50% of the short film must have been shot within the territory of Castilla-La Mancha. Additionally, either the director, producer, director of photography, or the main cast must be natives or current residents of the autonomous community.Toledo Short Film: Must meet the exact same requirements as the Castilla-La Mancha category, but strictly circumscribed to the province of Toledo.6. Important Terms & ConditionsRights and Responsibility: Submitting a short film implies full acceptance of these regulations. The director and/or producer assumes all responsibility regarding the image and sound rights of their audiovisual work.Exhibition Rights: By submitting, entrants expressly agree that the Nambrocorto 2026 Short Film Festival may screen their short film free of exhibition fees exclusively during the festival dates and at venues or screens within the municipality selected by the organization. This will not affect the future distribution rights of the short film.Disqualification & Force Majeure: The festival reserves the right to disqualify any short film that violates human rights, incites hate, shows a lack of respect, or breaches these regulations. The organization is not responsible for any cancellation or modification of festival dates or rules due to force majeure.Promotional Material: The organization may use short clips of the selected works (up to a maximum of 30 seconds or the official trailer), as well as photographs, posters, or press kits provided, for the sole purpose of promoting the festival in the media, official social networks, local television, and the festival website.7. Data ProtectionIn compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), we inform you that the personal data provided will be processed by the organization of the 11th Nambrocorto Festival, managed by TIRELESS FILMS, S.L., for the purpose of processing your festival entry, communicating news, and managing the development of the festival.Data will not be transferred to third parties unless there is a legal obligation. Once the festival has concluded, data will be deleted or blocked accordingly.
