The PiFF Pinerolo Film Festival is organized by the cultural association Wel Theater and Movie aps.

Born to enhance independent cinema with an eye on Piedmont (Italy) and to bring to the fore themes of great social and human impact, Themes that enhance the territory and themes dedicated to children, young people and adolescents. Promotes the dissemination of products of high artistic value, capable of contributing to cultural growth.

International and national short films will be selected, with a day dedicated to children/young people, a day dedicated to social themes , a day dedicated to short films made in Piedmont and a day dedicated to the authors FEDIC (Italian Federation Cineclub). The screenings will be held at the headquarters of the cultural association WEL Theater and Movie aps that organizes the festival and in a cinema of the city of Pinerolo. The festival ends with a final day of screenings at the cinema of the short finalists and the awarding of the winners of the four categories, which are precisely: children/ boys, social themes, Piedmont, FEDIC.

All in Pinerolo, a beautiful town at the foot of the Alps, in Piedmont (Italy).

Cash Prizes: 500€

The Pinerolo Fim Festival awards prizes and awards to celebrate the films that best embody the values and themes of the festival.

Prize pool total 500 euro.

Young cinema award: for the best short film that deals with children/teenagers' themes, also emphasizing the educational aspect as well as the playful one.

Premio cinema Sociale: a short film that addresses with sensitivity and depth social themes, emphasizing the importance of a responsible cinema and an instrument for reflection and social dialogue and respect for the environment and sustainability.

Piedmont Cinema Award: for the best short film that highlights the Piedmontese territory and its culture.

PIFF Prize for short films FEDIC (Cineclub Fedic Italia)

Audience Award: voted by the audience present at the screenings.

Award for best actor, adult actress and actor, young and young children.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

The competition is open to Italian and international works made after 1 January 2022.

Short films: Section for works under 20 minutes, belonging to various genres of cinema (fiction, animation, documentary). For the screening of the finalists, it is necessary to have subtitles in Italian or english.

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION, FEES AND EXPIRY

Registration for the Festival must be made exclusively through Festhome.

Each participant may submit more than one work, with a registration fee for each film as indicated on the Festhome platform.

Registration deadline: 30 June.

Subscribers are responsible for ensuring that the content of the work complies with copyright and applicable laws.

SELECTED FILMS

The Festival will select the works on the basis of an exclusive and uncontestable evaluation.

Only the "finalists" films will be screened and must have subtitles in Italian or english. The authors of selected works will be notified by email. Once accepted, a film selected cannot be withdrawn.

PROJECTION FORMATS

The finalists' screening room has a DCP projector, while for the first phase of selection and projection it does not have any DCP , so the formats accepted are:

Digital file in MOV or MP4 format with subtitles in. srt format ( Italian and/or english)
For the final screening instead: DCP, file in H264HD format or QuickTine ProRes.

The screenings will be in original language, accompanied by subtitles.

GENERAL RULES

Participation in the selection implies full acceptance of these rules. The Festival Management reserves the right to make decisions on unforeseen matters. The personal data transmitted will be processed only for the purposes related to the participation in the festival.

In addition, the Pinerolo Festival:

1. It does not provide any assistance for travel and accommodation expenses.

2. Delivery of Special awards and Recognition in the hall.

3. Do not send physical prizes or trophies to anyone not present in the hall.

4. Send by email Diplomas and Certificates, on request of those interested, to be carried out from 1 'to 15 October 2025 writing to the email: pinerolofilmfest@gmail.com




  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
